JOB OVERVIEW

We’re hiring an experienced After Effects editor for a new YouTube channel covering mysteries, unexplained events, strange history, and darker subjects.

LEMMiNO is our main reference for the general quality and presentation we want. We’ll develop our own visual identity, but applicants should be capable of producing similarly polished documentary visuals quickly and consistently.

This is not a basic stock-footage editing position.

You’ll receive a completed script and recorded narration. You’ll be responsible for transforming them into a finished 20–30-minute documentary, including:

Original After Effects sequences
Animated maps, photographs, documents, and timelines
Silhouettes, diagrams, and atmospheric recreations
Masking, compositing, parallax, and camera movement
Relevant archival footage and photographs
Music, ambience, and sound design
Narration cleanup and final video assembly

We need someone who:

Has advanced Adobe After Effects skills
Is highly skilled with Photoshop
Can edit professionally in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
Has excellent visual storytelling and pacing
Can create original visuals instead of relying on random stock footage
Can work quickly without sacrificing quality
Can make creative decisions without requiring instructions for every shot
Communicates reliably and meets deadlines
Is interested in consistent, long-term work

Experience with 3D software is helpful but not required.

Do not apply if your work mainly consists of stock footage, basic zooms, generic transitions, downloaded templates, podcasts, or short-form social-media videos.
