WE'RE HIRING: GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Part-Time / Freelance | Remote | Philippines
Approximately 5-10 hours/week
Spiritus is seeking an exceptionally capable Graphic Designer to support a growing portfolio of publications, recordings, digital content, events, fundraising initiatives, and artistic projects.
Spiritus is an international Catholic sacred-music organization bringing together music, art, faith, ecology, and cultural heritage.
Our visual world draws heavily from classical art, sacred music, historic architecture, manuscripts, and the great traditions of Western art and design.
We are looking for a designer who can work sensitively with this material while creating an identity that feels refined, contemporary, and alive - not antiquarian or conventionally religious.
This is a flexible part-time role for someone with excellent visual judgment, sophisticated typography, and a strong sense of beauty and restraint.
We want someone capable of producing polished, world-class work, not simply executing templates.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design print and digital materials for publications, recordings, events, fundraising, and communications
- Create graphics and visual assets for the Spiritus website and social media
- Develop publication layouts and editorial materials
- Work sensitively with photography, classical artwork, historic imagery, manuscripts, and musical content
- Maintain and extend a consistent Spiritus visual identity
- Collaborate with project managers and other creative contributors
- Prepare professional production-ready files for print and digital use
QUALIFICATIONS
- Outstanding portfolio demonstrating sophisticated design and typography
- Strong command of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Excellent editorial and layout-design skills
- Exceptional visual judgment
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently from a creative brief
- Ability to deliver highly polished final work
- Reliable communication
- Ability to meet deadlines
Experience in arts, culture, publishing, luxury, editorial, museums, or similarly design-sensitive work is especially welcome.
SCHEDULE
Approximately 5-10 hours per week on average, with flexibility depending on project needs.
Some periods may involve considerably more intensive work around major publications, events, recordings, and launches.
Portfolio quality will be the most important part of the application.
