WE'RE HIRING: PUBLICATIONS PROJECT MANAGER
Full-Time | Remote | Philippines
Target compensation: Approximately $800-$1,000 USD/month
Up to approximately $1,200 for an exceptional candidate
Spiritus is looking for an exceptionally organized and detail-oriented Publications Project Manager to help manage major creative and editorial projects.
Spiritus is an international Catholic sacred-music organization bringing together music, art, faith, ecology, and cultural heritage.
One of the first major priorities will be helping manage the production of a 200-page museum-quality commemorative art book documenting a sacred-music recording project in France.
The book will combine extensive photography, essays and spiritual reflections, musical analysis, texts and translations, captions, credits, and other materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize hundreds of photographs and other visual assets
- Collect and track essays, texts, translations, captions, credits, and metadata
- Coordinate with writers, editors, translators, photographers, designers, and contributors
- Maintain detailed records of everything received and everything still missing
- Prepare, format, and proofread documents
- Manage revisions and approvals
- Maintain organized project files and version control
- Track deadlines and follow up with contributors
- Work closely with the Senior Publication Designer
- Ensure that important details do not fall through the cracks
- Manage editorial and production workflows
- Help oversee layout designers and other publication specialists
OTHER PROJECTS MAY INCLUDE
- CD and CD booklet production
- Organizing photography, credits, metadata, and publication assets
- Creating and editing polished documents and presentations
- Managing other print and digital publications
- Supporting photography and video projects
- Conducting detailed research and outreach
- Coordinating other Spiritus creative projects
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Publishing or editorial production
- Book or magazine production
- Creative project management
- Editorial operations
- Graphic or document design
- Communications
- Arts or cultural organizations
- Media production
You should have:
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written English
- Strong project-management ability
- Strong proofreading and editorial skills
- Good visual judgment and typography/layout instincts
- Experience preparing sophisticated documents or publications
- Familiarity with Adobe InDesign or comparable professional tools
- Ability to organize large quantities of text, images, files, and information
- Excellent file and version-management habits
- Strong communication
- Strong follow-through
- Ability to anticipate problems and take initiative
You do not need to personally be the museum-quality book designer.
Your responsibility is to own the process, organize all the moving pieces, work closely with specialist designers, and make sure everything is complete, accurate, and delivered on time.
