About Us
Restoring Tampa Bay, LLC is a design and construction company serving counties in Florida. We handle residential and commercial renovation, new construction, and reconstruction projects from permitting through completion, working closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and municipalities.
About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented professional to fill a dual role: producing accurate architectural drawings and construction documents, and handling material takeoffs, cost estimating, and vendor sourcing. This is a hands-on position for someone who can move between CAD work and procurement without losing accuracy on either side.
Responsibilities:
Drafting and 3D Modelling
Produce and revise architectural drawings, permit sets, and construction documents (CAD)
Update as-built drawings to reflect field changes and RFIs
Incorporate architect and engineer redlines accurately and on schedule
Ensure drawings comply with Florida Building Code and local jurisdiction requirements
Produce 3D models and renderings from 2D Plans
Estimating & Material Sourcing
Perform material takeoffs from drawings and specifications
Prepare accurate material cost estimates for bids and budgets
Source materials from suppliers and vendors, comparing pricing, quality, and lead times
Negotiate pricing and delivery schedules with vendors
Track material orders, deliveries, and job-site inventory
Maintain and grow relationships with a reliable vendor network
Qualifications
Associate's degree or certificate in drafting/architectural technology, or equivalent hands-on experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Enscape or similar draftingand rendering software
Experience with material takeoff/estimating tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift) a plus
Working knowledge of Florida Building Code preferred
Familiarity with permitting processes a plus
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Clear written and verbal communication for coordinating with architects, subs, and vendors
Work Hours:
Full Time - 8 hours (EST)
