We’re looking for a part-time assistant video editor for an established travel YouTube channel with 430K+ subscribers, focused on detailed, long-form travel guides.
This is not primarily a Shorts/Reels editing position. Our projects involve substantial amounts of travel footage and B-roll, so we need someone who is comfortable reviewing large clip libraries and making good editorial decisions independently.
Responsibilities may include:
Reviewing and organizing large amounts of travel footage
Selecting appropriate B-roll for narration
Creating first-pass edits of assigned sections
Basic titles, graphics, maps, and sound effects
Organizing DaVinci Resolve timelines and media
Eventually taking on larger portions of videos as trust develops
Requirements:
Strong DaVinci Resolve experience
Experience with long-form YouTube content
Good written and spoken English
Strong visual judgment and storytelling instincts
Comfortable searching through hundreds of clips
Able to work independently without constant direction
Reliable internet for downloading/uploading proxy media
We value judgment, reliability, organization, and independence more than flashy effects.
This will begin with a small paid trial and limited part-time work. If it is a good fit, there is potential for consistent long-term work and increased hours.
To apply, please include:
Two long-form YouTube videos you personally edited
Exactly what you were responsible for on each
How long you have used DaVinci Resolve
Your usual hourly rate
Your weekly availability
Briefly explain how you approach selecting B-roll when you have hundreds of clips to choose from

Compensation: Paid trial to start. If it’s a good fit, there is potential for ongoing part-time work with increasing hours over time.
