What the job is

We run e-commerce brands and we advertise on Facebook every single day. We have editors and designers producing ads. What we do not have is someone d ---------- what they should make, why, and writing the words that go in it.

That is this job. Half of it is reading the account and working out what is actually driving results. The other half is writing — the hooks, the scripts, the angles. Both halves matter, and they are the same job: the data tells you what to say next, and your writing d ---------- whether it lands.

Your work

1. Run the account, every day.
Read the data across every ad. Cut what is not performing. Move budget onto what works. Scale the winners. You own the routine calls — you do not wait for permission to kill a losing ad.

2. Work out why, not just what.
An ad won. Why? The hook, the persona, the angle, the format, the offer? An ad died. Why? You do the post-mortem on both, because the mechanism is the only thing we can repeat. "It performed well" is not an answer here.

3. Hunt for concepts.
Watch our main competitors. What are they running right now, what has been running for months, what did they just start testing? Bring back the concepts that are working in our market — and tell us what makes them work.

4. Write the ads.
This is where you spend a large part of your week. You write the hooks, the scripts and the on-image copy for everything we produce. You know the difference between a hook that names the customer's problem in six words and a hook that describes the product. You know what an angle is, and what awareness level you are writing for. Your words are what the editor films and what the customer reads.

5. D ---------- the iterations, and brief them.
From your analysis, choose what is worth producing next — which winner to iterate on, which single variable to change, which new concept to test. Then send the editors and designers a brief they can execute without asking questions. Not "make something like this" — exactly what to make, and why.

6. Close the loop.
Track what was tested, what the hypothesis was, what happened. Feed it into the next round. And explain it to the team — the editors and designers need to understand why something worked, or they will keep guessing.

What we need from you
You write, and it is half this job. Hooks, scripts, angles, briefs. Written English that reads naturally to a native speaker — the editors work from your words, and the customer reads them.
You know Meta Ads Manager properly. Not "I have opened it" — you can read performance across an account, see what matters in the numbers, and act on it without being walked through.
You can explain a winner. Give us an ad that worked and tell us why, in terms of hook, audience and mechanism. This is what we screen hardest for.
You are structured. Your tests, hypotheses and results are written down. Nothing lives only in your head.
You are opinionated but evidence-driven. We want "we should test this, because of that" — not someone waiting to be told.
You can teach. Explaining what works to a designer is half of what makes the next ad better.
Nice to have

Direct response copywriting — VSLs, advertorials, email. If you have written something that sold, show it. DTC or supplement brands. AI tools in your daily work (ChatGPT, Claude). Any experience briefing editors or designers.

Before you apply

Some of our brands are in health and women's wellness, including intimacy products. The work is never explicit, but if that topic is not for you, this role is not for you and that is completely fine.

What we offer
A stable, long-term, full-time position.
Real ownership. You d ---------- what gets made and where budget goes. No committee, no approval chain for routine calls.
Direct work with the owner. No middle manager.
Editors and designers already in place to execute what you d ---------- .
Paid trial first: we give you one account's data and one competitor set. You come back with what you would cut, what you would scale, three concepts you would test with the reasoning — and three hooks written out. Good trials get hired within days.
Paid on time, every time.

Again: the only way to apply is ----------
