JOB OVERVIEW

We are a growing Amazon FBA business looking for a highly experienced product researcher.

This is not just a product research position. You will work directly with our U.S.-based buyer, using your Amazon research and analytical skills to help identify profitable purchasing opportunities, analyze products and competition, replenish inventory, negotiate with suppliers, and assist with purchasing decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Work directly with our U.S. buyer as a Buyer’s Assistant
* Research products and purchasing opportunities on Amazon
* Analyze listings, competition, pricing history, sales activity, and profitability
* Use tools such as Keepa, Jungle Scout, ASIN Zen, and similar Amazon research tools
* Help determine which products should be purchased
* Place purchase orders for replenishment inventory
* Review inventory levels and sales activity to determine when to reorder and how many units to purchase
* Make purchasing quantity decisions based on sales history, inventory levels, pricing, and profitability
* Communicate directly with suppliers regarding products, availability, and pricing
* Negotiate with suppliers to obtain better pricing, discounts, and purchasing terms
* Assist with day-to-day buying and purchasing activities
* Work with Amazon data and spreadsheets in Excel
* Maintain accuracy and consistency throughout our purchasing process

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone with several years of hands-on Amazon experience. This is not an entry-level position.

The ideal candidate has:

* Many years of Amazon product research experience
* Strong understanding of the Amazon FBA marketplace
* Experience analyzing products, listings, competition, pricing, and profitability
* Strong experience with Keepa and other Amazon research tools
* Strong Excel skills, including formulas, spreadsheets, and data analysis
* Experience with inventory replenishment and purchase order management
* Experience communicating and negotiating with suppliers
* Ability to make smart purchasing and replenishment quantity decisions
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Excellent attention to detail
* Excellent spoken and written English
* Previous experience assisting an Amazon buyer or purchasing team is a major plus

Working Hours

You must be available to work 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.

For applicants located overseas, please understand that this will likely be a graveyard/night shift position. You must be comfortable working these hours consistently, as you will be working directly with our U.S.-based buyer during the U.S. business day.
