About us

We are FELIXFUSION PTY LTD, an Australian-registered electrical engineering and equipment supply company. We bid on Australian tenders — government, council, utility and private developer — for electrical and general equipment supply and engineering advisory work. We are a small, senior team, and you will work directly with the Head of Procurement and own real sourcing work from your first week.

The role

This role is about one thing done well: finding suppliers and getting the best price. When we d ---------- to bid a tender, you find and contact manufacturers and distributors — in Australia and overseas — obtain written quotes, clarify specifications and lead times, and build the delivered-to-site cost. This is relationship, communication and negotiation work. It is the part of our business that cannot be automated, and the part we care most about.

What you will do
- Source suppliers: identify and contact manufacturers, distributors and agents (Australia, Asia, Europe, North America) for electrical equipment and materials — cable, switchboards, transformers, power electronics, lighting, generators, PPE, tools and site consumables.
- Chase quotes: issue RFQs, follow up until you have firm written quotes with lead times and validity dates, and request datasheets, compliance certificates and standards evidence.
- Clarify specifications: read the tender's technical requirements, match products to spec, and resolve gaps with suppliers before pricing.
- Build the landed cost: turn ex-works prices into a full delivered-to-site cost — Incoterms, freight, insurance, duty, GST, port and clearance, local delivery and FX — in a clear, auditable cost model.
- Negotiate: push on price, payment terms, minimum order quantities and lead time; build relationships with reliable suppliers for repeat sourcing.
- Keep it organised: maintain a supplier database and quote tracker; flag risks early (long lead times, single-source items, currency exposure).

Must-haves
- 3+ years hands-on procurement / sourcing or RFQ / quotation management.
- A track record of contacting suppliers and obtaining and comparing written quotes.
- Confident written English and comfortable emailing (and occasionally calling) international suppliers.
- Strong Excel and experience building or working with cost models.
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and reliable working independently in a remote role.

Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with electrical, technical or engineering products.
- ERP / procurement systems (Oracle, SAP, Ariba, NetSuite, Zycus).
- Incoterms, import, customs or freight knowledge.
- Exposure to the Australian market.
