This Job Probably Isn’t For You If...
If you need someone to tell you exactly what to do at every step before you can move forward, this probably isn’t the right job.
If changing direction after you’ve already started something frustrates you, you’re probably going to hate working here.
If you become emotionally attached to your marketing ideas and have difficulty letting the market prove you wrong, this probably isn’t the right environment.
If a campaign failing feels like failure rather than information, this isn’t the job.
If you need every project completely defined, organized, and predictable before you’re comfortable starting, you’ll probably be frustrated here.
If being challenged on your reasoning feels personal, this probably isn’t a good fit.
If you’re uncomfortable saying, “I think we’re wrong, and here’s why,” this probably isn’t a good fit either.
If you primarily want to be given tasks and complete them, rather than figure out what needs to happen next, this isn’t that position.
And if your answer to every marketing problem is another upsell, another continuity program, or simply spending more money on ads, we’re probably going to disagree a lot.
On the other hand, if uncertainty makes you curious, failed campaigns make you want to figure out WHY, changing direction doesn’t bother you, and you like solving problems that don’t come with instructions, you may really enjoy this job.
