JOB OVERVIEW

Then go ---------- on Instagram and study the editing.

Can you produce work at that exact level, consistently, every week? If the honest answer is no, or “close enough,” or “I could learn” — this role isn’t for you. Please don’t apply. If the answer is yes, keep reading.

About us

We’re a UK client acquisition agency. We build outbound systems, VSL funnels and paid ad campaigns for coaches and B2B businesses. We’re hiring one editor to own all of our video output.

The work (monthly)

• 10–20 VSLs, 2–5 minutes each
• 3 Instagram Reels per week
• 1–5 YouTube videos when needed

What the standard actually means

• Pacing that never lets attention drop for a single second
• Sound design that hits — SFX and music properly mixed, not dropped underneath
• Motion graphics and kinetic typography you build yourself in After Effects
• Subtitles that look designed, not auto-generated
• Colour grading that looks intentional
• You understand retention: hooks, cuts on beat, when to hold and when to move

Template edits, CapCut presets and stock transitions are an instant no.

Requirements

• Fluent in Premiere Pro and After Effects (or DaVinci + AE)
• A portfolio of short-form and sales content at the level above
• You can take a 40-minute raw recording and find the story in it
• Reliable with deadlines, and you speak up early when something slips
• Good written English

Pay

• $300 USD/month to start
• $400/month once you’ve proven consistency (usually 2–3 months)
• $500/month for an editor who becomes indispensable

Paid monthly. Long-term role — we want someone who grows with us, not a one-project freelancer.

Do NOT apply if

• Your portfolio is mostly weddings, vlogs, or basic talking-head cuts
• Your best work is noticeably below the reference reels
• You outsource your editing to someone else
• You need hand-holding on every project
• You’re applying to dozens of jobs and hoping something sticks

How to apply

1. Start your message with the word RETENTION. Anything without it is deleted unread.
2. Link 2–3 pieces you personally edited that match the standard above. Tell me exactly what you did on each. One outstanding video beats ten average ones — if you have to pad your portfolio, you’re not ready for this role.
3. Tell me what you’d change about the first reference reel to make it hit harder.
4. Confirm your software, weekly availability, and timezone.
