JOB OVERVIEW

About Chado Trading

Chado Trading hires for the long term. We have several team members from OnlineJobs.ph who've been with us for 5+ years, and we're looking for someone who wants a lasting working relationship, not a one-off gig. Integrity and honesty matter a lot to us - we want someone who does careful, above-board work and is upfront with us, especially given the nature of Wikipedia's editorial standards.

About the Role

We already have the content and sources prepared for the subject (a tea pioneer and scholar). What we need is someone who knows how to properly format, structure, and submit this material as a compliant Wikipedia entry. This isn't a research-from-scratch role; it's about taking material we provide and shaping it into something that meets Wikipedia's editorial and sourcing standards, then successfully navigating it through review.

Key Responsibilities

Notability Check: Review the content and sources we provide against Wikipedia's notability guidelines for biographies (WP:BIO / WP:GNG) and flag early if anything is likely to be contested, before drafting begins.

Content Adaptation: Take the content and sources we supply and restructure/rewrite them into a neutral, encyclopedic Wikipedia entry — correct tone, structure, and formatting per Wikipedia conventions.

Source Formatting: Format and cite our provided sources correctly per Wikipedia's citation standards, and confirm each one meets the "independent, reliable secondary source" bar — flagging any that may not hold up under review.

Submission & Mediation: Manage the "Articles for Creation" (AfC) process and respond professionally to reviewer feedback or community edits.

Compliance: Strictly follow Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest (COI) disclosure requirements and Neutral Point of View (NPOV) policy, since these entries are being created on behalf of a company/client.

Requirements & Experience

Proven track record of Wikipedia pages you've successfully gotten published and kept live, ideally for individuals or companies.

Solid working knowledge of Wikipedia's Five Pillars and what counts as a "reliable source."

Ability to rewrite provided material into a neutral, journalistic tone — no promotional or marketing language.

Comfortable with Wiki-markup or VisualEditor and familiar with how the Wikipedia editor community operates.

Honest, reliable, and comfortable being transparent with us about process, sourcing, and any issues that come up along the way.

Room to Grow

This role can expand well beyond Wikipedia work. Right after this batch of articles, there's recurring work available administering and posting content for the websites in our portfolio companies. Beyond that, if you show interest, Chado Trading is genuinely happy to teach you about the tea industry itself - we like bringing people in who want to grow with the company into other roles over time, not just complete a task list.

How to Apply

Please send your portfolio of published Wikipedia articles (links to live pages, not drafts that were deleted/rejected), a short note on your experience with AfC submissions, and your proposed rate per article. Let us know too if you're interested in long-term work beyond this project.
