Founding Full-Stack Developer — Contract / V1 Build

I'm building Scout — Your AI Private Investigator, a consumer web product that helps users investigate and verify information about someone they're dating or getting to know.

I'm looking for a strong, product-minded full-stack developer to help build the first working version.

This is not a basic ChatGPT wrapper.

Scout will take information supplied by a user, conduct structured research using available APIs and lawful public-source data, organize and analyze the findings, compare evidence against claims made by the subject, and produce a polished investigative Case Report.

What V1 Needs to Do

The initial product will include:

Marketing/landing site

User signup and authentication

Payment/checkout

New Case intake form

Ability to enter identifiers such as name, location, phone, email, social handles, employer, photos and other known information

Freeform field where users can provide claims or context they want Scout to investigate

Integrations with appropriate third-party APIs/data sources

AI-assisted extraction, matching, analysis and synthesis

Source/evidence preservation

Investigation processing/status experience

Structured Case Report generation

Saved case history

Basic admin functionality

Production deployment

The Core Product

The most important output is the Scout Case Report.

Reports should synthesize findings into sections such as:

TL;DR

Identity summary

What checks out

Potential inconsistencies

Digital footprint

Relevant timeline

Image/profile findings where technically feasible

Information Scout could not verify

Investigative summary

Sources/evidence

The experience should feel like opening a modern private-investigation case file — not receiving a generic AI-generated wall of text.

Important Product Principles

Scout must distinguish between:

Verified information

Information that appears consistent

Potential inconsistencies

Uncertain matches

Information that could not be verified

The platform should avoid presenting AI inference as fact.

The architecture should also be modular so additional data sources and investigative capabilities can be added over time.

What I'm Looking For

Ideally, you have experience with:

Building full-stack SaaS or consumer web applications

React / Next.js or similar modern frontend frameworks

Backend/database architecture

Authentication

Stripe or similar payments

Third-party API integrations

AI/LLM integrations

Structured AI outputs

File/image uploads

Report/dashboard interfaces

Cloud deployment

Security and privacy best practices

Experience working with investigative, identity, OSINT, search, enrichment or data-aggregation products is a major plus.

You Should Be

Product-minded, not just waiting for tickets

Comfortable helping evaluate technical approaches

Able to communicate tradeoffs clearly

Willing to push back when something is unnecessarily complex

Strong at shipping practical V1 products

Comfortable working directly with a founder

Project Structure

This will begin as a contract V1 build.

I expect to break development into milestones rather than committing the entire build upfront.

There may be significant ongoing work after V1 for the right person.
