Role Overview & Impact
We are an established e-commerce business seeking a high-level operational partner to serve as our executive point person. While our Amazon storefront is highly stable and optimized, we are actively expanding our sales velocity across alternative marketplaces, including Walmart, Home Depot, eBay, and our own website.
Virtually all of our inventory consists of imports from the Far East. We need a brilliant, analytical organizer to tie up daily operational loose ends, run rigorous multi-channel inventory forecasting, and act as an executive gatekeeper for the business owner.

Core Responsibilities
1. Continuous Inventory Control & Supply Chain Management
• Data-Driven Forecasting: Build and maintain an advanced inventory tracking system that continuously calculates multi-channel sales velocity and safety stock levels.
• Lead-Time Optimization: Proactively manage complex Far East production timelines, sea freight schedules, customs clearance, and 3PL receiving delays.
• Proactive Purchase Orders: Generate and submit accurate purchase orders well ahead of manufacturing lead times to entirely eliminate channel stockouts.
• Multi-Channel Stock Allocation: Continuously monitor and distribute stock positions between Amazon FBA and multi-channel fulfillment nodes to prevent listing suppressions on alternative platforms.
• Logistics Liaison: Serve as the primary operational point of contact for Far East manufacturers and freight forwarders.
2. Non-Amazon Channel Growth & Operations
• Channel Expansion: Take ownership of tracking, updating, and driving sales velocity on Walmart, Home Depot, eBay, and our direct website.
• Catalog Governance: Maintain strict oversight of product data sheets, attribute mapping, and listing health across all enterprise marketplaces.
• Operational Triage: Audit all platforms daily for broken listings, pricing mismatches, and compliance errors to maximize channel uptime.
3. Executive Support & Inbox Gatekeeping
• Inbox Triage: Manage the business owner's executive
• Calendar Management: Ensure the business owner's daily schedule is optimized, coordinating with external vendors and scheduling meetings to protect executive strategic time.
• Process Standardization: Document all inventory tracking, ordering steps, and daily platform maintenance routines into standardized SOPs.

Work Style & Dynamic Prioritization
• Agile Context-Switching: This position requires a balance between structured, deep-focus tasks (like calculating inventory lead times) and rapid problem-solving when unexpected marketplace issues arise on Walmart or Home Depot.
• Day-to-Day Variety: While inventory control is your core anchor, your daily focus will shift based on business needs—one day you may be mapping catalog attributes for a new platform, and the next you may be auditing shipping discrepancies.
• Autonomous Triage: You must excel at assessing a long list of "loose ends," identifying which tasks are urgent vs. important, and restructuring your day without needing constant executive direction.

Position Requirements
• Experience: 3+ years of direct experience managing multi-channel e-commerce operations (Amazon + Walmart/Home Depot/eBay).
• Supply Chain Skills: Proven track record calculating burn rates, managing safety stock, and navigating Far East import lead times.
• Data Mastery: Expert-level Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel skills (advanced formulas for forecasting and data reconciliation).
• Communication: Exceptional written English for professional vendor and executive communication.
• Traits: High level of business acumen, extreme attention to detail, and a history of long-term dedication and loyalty with previous employers.

Application Instructions (Mandatory Screening Task)
To be considered for this role, please start your cover letter response with the word "FORECAST" in all caps, and include a brief, 3-sentence answer to this operational scenario:
"We sell a product that moves 50 units a day on Amazon and 10 units a day on Home Depot. Our manufacturer in the Far East takes 45 days to produce an order, and sea shipping takes another 35 days. If we currently have 4,000 units in total stock across all locations, in how many days must we submit our next Purchase Order to avoid a stock-out? Walk us through your basic logic."
Applications that do not include the keyword or do not attempt the math logic problem may be automatically disqualified.
