# Full-Time Video Editor

We are looking for a **reliable, highly skilled Video Editor** to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for a creative editor who can produce both clean, simple social-first content and more complex, high-impact edits that keep viewers engaged.

You should have a strong eye for pacing, storytelling, visual polish, and sound design. You must be comfortable working independently, following creative direction, meeting deadlines consistently, and being ready to begin work promptly.

## Role and Responsibilities

As our Video Editor, you will edit a variety of video content, balancing straightforward edits with more advanced, visually dynamic projects. Your responsibilities will include:

- Editing short- and long-form videos with strong pacing and attention to detail.

- Creating clean **colour grades** that match the intended visual mood and brand style.

- Using **speed ramps** and other pacing techniques to improve energy and flow.

- Performing **rotoscoping** and more detailed masking/compositing work when needed.

- Editing precisely to **music, beats, transitions, and sound effects**.

- Producing a mixture of simple edits and complex, high-production edits.

- Creating accurate, engaging **captions/subtitles** with excellent written English.

- Organising project files and delivering finished videos on schedule.

- Incorporating feedback efficiently and maintaining clear, professional communication.

## Required Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have proven practical experience in video editing and a portfolio that demonstrates both technical ability and creative judgment. You must:

- Have an existing portfolio or showreel with relevant editing examples.

- Be confident with **DaVinci Resolve and/or Adobe Premiere Pro**, as well as **Adobe After Effects**.

- Be skilled in colour grading, speed ramping, rotoscoping, captions, and editing to music.

- Have a strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, transitions, motion, and visual consistency.

- Have excellent English writing skills, especially for accurate captions and subtitles.

- Be able to handle both simple, fast-turnaround edits and more complex projects.

- Be dependable, organised, responsive, and able to meet deadlines consistently.

- Be ready to start immediately or very soon.

## Compensation and Commitment

This is a **full-time remote role** with monthly compensation of **USD $500 per month**. We are seeking someone who can commit to a full-time workload, communicate reliably, and become a consistent long-term member of the team.
