I'm a content creator looking for a **short-form video editor** to help edit UGC content and paid ads for brands.
Most videos are **15–60 seconds** and are made for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and paid social ads.
I'm looking for someone I can work with consistently long-term. If you're good at matching references, understand modern short-form pacing, and pay attention to small details, this should be a great fit.
WHAT YOU'LL BE EDITING
You'll mainly be responsible for:
1. Editing raw footage into 15–60 second UGC videos and ads
2. Cutting talking-head footage and mixing in B-roll at the right moments
3. Adding clean captions, text/image overlays, music (very rarely), sound effects, zooms, etc.
4. Matching the pacing and editing style of reference videos I provide
5. Making revisions based on feedback when necessary
Examples of content I've made in the past that I expect you to be able to replicate:
The goal is **clean, engaging, simple, modern short-form content -- NOT overly flashy or over-edited videos.**
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR
You should:
* Have experience editing TikTok, Reels, UGC, or short-form ads
* Understand pacing, hooks, B-roll placement, and viewer retention
* Be able to closely recreate an editing style from a reference
* Have strong attention to detail
* Communicate reliably and meet deadlines
* Must be able to speak English and preferably use WhatsApp
Experience with **CapCut** is preferred.
Experience editing **UGC or direct-response ads** is a big plus.
WORKFLOW
I'll provide the raw footage, script/context, and reference videos when needed.
Most edits should have a 12–24 hour turnaround time after receiving the footage. Reliability and consistently meeting turnaround times are very important.
The workload will start smaller while we learn each other's workflow, but my goal is to eventually send up to ~2-300 short-form videos per month if we're a good fit.
As we work together, I'd like you to learn my editing style so less direction and fewer revisions are needed over time.
The work schedule is flexible -- there are no strict working hours as long as videos are delivered on time.
There is potential for **consistent, long-term work and more editing volume** if we're a good fit.
HOW TO APPLY
Please start your application with "UGC EDITOR" so I know you read the entire post.
Then include:
1. A short introduction about yourself
2. **3–5 of your best short-form video edits** -- please prioritize UGC, TikTok/Reels, or paid ads
3. What editing software you use
4. Your rate (hourly and/or per video)
5. Your typical turnaround time for a 30–60 second video
**Please don't send a huge portfolio. I specifically want to see your best short-form work.**
Shortlisted applicants may be asked to complete a **paid test edit** before moving forward.
