JOB OVERVIEW

I run a small nonprofit fundraising consulting practice based in California and am looking for a talented, reliable Grants & Fundraising Associate to work with me approximately 20 hours per week. My clients are nonprofit organizations doing meaningful work in areas such as education, youth development, health, and community services. You'll support me across a variety of fundraising and communications projects.

What You'll Do
- Grant Research & Writing
- Research foundation, corporate, and other grant opportunities
- Review funder guidelines and assess eligibility and fit, and prepare opportunity assessments
- Assist with writing and editing grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports
- Track grant deadlines, applications, reports, and next steps

Fundraising & Email Marketing
- Help write fundraising appeals and donor emails
- Build, format, test, and schedule email campaigns
- Assist with campaign calendars and basic audience/list management
- Create or adapt simple campaign materials in Canva

Communications & Social Media
- Help develop and schedule social media content for nonprofit clients
- Assist with developing content for my consulting practice, particularly LinkedIn
- Repurpose stories and fundraising messages for email, social media, and other communications

Who I'm Looking For
- Excellent writing and research skills are the most important qualifications for this role.
- I'm looking for someone who is organized, curious, detail-oriented, flexible, and willing to learn. You should be comfortable receiving feedback, asking questions when something isn't clear, and managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- I have established grant writing and fundraising processes that work well for my clients. I will teach you these systems and am looking for someone who is willing to learn and follow them—but also someone who will bring their own ideas and insights and help make our work even better.
- Previous experience with grant research, grant writing, nonprofit fundraising, or email marketing is strongly preferred.
- Experience with tools such as Google Workspace, Canva, ---------- , email marketing platforms, CRM systems, or grant databases is a plus.

About the Position
