Core Availability: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm Eastern Time (USA)
Compensation: $2,000 per month

SteelSafe Self Storage operates storage properties across the United States. Customers rent individual storage units and shipping containers from us to store their belongings, business inventory, equipment, and other items.

Our properties are managed remotely. When a customer moves out, we need to quickly inspect, clean, repair, and prepare that storage unit so the next customer can rent it.

We’re hiring a Property Operations Lead to manage that process remotely. Your main goal is simple: keep our properties Rent-Ready and get units back on the market fast.

What you’ll do:
Manage the entire unit turnover process: after a customer moves out, make sure the unit is inspected, cleaned, repaired if needed, and ready for the next customer to rent.
Manage local Boots-On-The-Ground (BOTG) contractors who physically inspect, clean, repair, and maintain our properties.
Assign maintenance and repair jobs, follow up until they are completed, and verify the finished work using photos or videos.
Keep sites customer-ready: gates, locks, cameras, lighting, cleanliness, and curb appeal meet SteelSafe standards.
Handle property projects end‑to‑end (example: order a sign, coordinate install, confirm with proof).

What you own (outcomes):
Median Time‑to‑Rent‑Ready (TTRR) after move‑out.
Rent‑Ready Unit % stays high and trending up.
Work orders are dispatched quickly, completed quickly, and closed with proof.
BOTG tasks are completed on time with proof, and contractor records and payments stay current.
Publish a weekly scorecard that identifies misses, drives action, and holds owners accountable.

The authority and tools you’ll have:
You have the authority to improve the operation: turn workflows, proof standards, BOTG and vendor performance, inspection schedules, and the systems used to keep properties Rent-Ready.
Asana as the operating system (tasks, checklists, proof).
