JOB OVERVIEW

I run a small digital marketing agency serving a range of small business clients (home services, professional services, nonprofits, and more) with website builds, SEO, content creation, paid ads and ongoing site maintenance.

About the role

I'm looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person to help me build new sites with on-page optimization, make updates to existing sites in a range of different page builders, work on SEO strategy and assist with implementation, and support ongoing content strategies. I currently build sites in Elementor but support clients on multiple page builders including Divi, Avada and Kadence.

New sites are usually built from a provided Figma design, but you may also be asked to make content or layout edits with no design at all. You'll need a strong working understanding of on-page SEO so that what you build doesn't just look right, it's set up right.

When it comes to SEO, I primarily take the lead on strategy, but you'll have an excellent working knowledge of local SEO especially and will help me stay organized on our strategic tasks, as well as take the lead on implementing them. Can you do keyword research? Even better.

You may also be asked to help with other tasks, such as adding content to Mailchimp (I can train you) or other content related items, or help troubleshooting technical problems. I'm also thinking about AI, AEO, GEO lately so you may be asked to be involved in tasks related to those.

The ideal candidate is flexible and able to switch between tasks, likes to work hard but doesn't take themselves too seriously, willing to give an opinion but ok with following direction when required.

Must-haves
Strong hands-on Elementor experience but also comfortable navigating other page builders.
Comfortable building from a design AND making judgment-call edits without one
Comfortable reading and building from Figma files
Practical experience developing and implementing local SEO strategies
Strong written English for async communication
A portfolio or work samples I can look at
