JOB OVERVIEW

# Junior Short-Form Video Editor — Remote

We’re hiring a junior video editor for a long-term remote position creating short-form content for a growing channel.

Our primary style references are Austin Mollno, ChrisFix, ---------- The Work

Each week, you’ll typically edit:

- 7–10 short-form videos for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels

We provide a Google Drive folder containing:

- Video and audio files
- Content outlines
- Supporting images and screenshots
- Brand assets and example edits

You may occasionally need to find additional relevant images or clips, but we’ll help when needed.

## Editing Style

We want:

- Strong hooks in the first 1–2 seconds
- Fast pacing and high viewer retention
- Clear, entertaining storytelling
- Clean cuts, music, captions, sound effects, and audio
- Dynamic on-screen text, images, zooms, and visual callouts
- Effects that support the content without becoming distracting
- Edits that feel polished, modern, and native to TikTok/Shorts/Reels

We do not need overly complicated editing. We need someone who can follow an outline, make clean choices, and create engaging videos quickly.

## Starting Rate

- $7 USD per completed short
- Opportunities for performance-based bonuses

This starting rate is firm for the first 90 days. After 90 days, performance will be reviewed based on quality, reliability, communication, and turnaround time. A rate increase is not guaranteed.

## Requirements

- Strong English comprehension
- Experience with CapCut Desktop, Adobe Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
- Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to edit 4K footage
- Understanding of TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels pacing
- Ability to follow references and match an established editing style
- Willingness to accept feedback and improve quickly
