Graphic Designer – Custom Product Label & Mascot Illustration (Automotive/Streetwear Brand)

About the gig

We're a car care and detailing brand with a bold, street-inspired look — graffiti backgrounds, custom lettering, and original mascot characters repping each product (think a cartoon character). We're building out a full product line — wheel cleaners, detail sprays, foam washes, shoe cleaners, off-road cleaners — and need a designer who can bring that same energy to every new label.

What you'll do

- Design print-ready labels for new products, matching our established graffiti/street-art aesthetic
- Illustrate and maintain consistent mascot characters across multiple products so they're recognizable bottle to bottle
- Create custom lettering and typography that fits the brand's tone
- Lay out required label content — product name, description, directions, warnings, ingredients, barcode — cleanly around the artwork
- Prep final files to print specs (bleed, CMYK, resolution) for our bottle/container templates
- Turn around revisions quickly based on feedback

What we're looking for:

- A portfolio with label, packaging, or character illustration work (required — no portfolio, no reply)
- Strong illustration skills, especially character/mascot design
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop
- Understanding of print-ready file prep (bleed, CMYK, resolution)
- Good English communication and the ability to take direction without needing everything spelled out
- Reliable, meets deadlines, doesn't disappear mid-project

Nice to have

- Experience designing for automotive, streetwear, or lifestyle brands
- Familiarity with label compliance text (Prop 65, Made in USA, etc.)
