STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join a U.S. based accounting team. Position Type: Fully Remote, Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
~Post cash to subledger daily and assist in bank reconciliations monthly
~Verify credit card charges have proper backup and are cleared in the subledger, assisting in credit card reconciliations monthly
~Prepare and post assigned standard journal entries during month end
~Review general ledger for possible reclassifications needed and prepare adjusting entries
~Maintain schedules for prepaid and fixed assets to ensure accuracy
~Prepare and submit for review assigned balance sheet reconciliations
~Assist in posting revenue, payroll, and accrued accounts payable journal entries from provided templates
~Upload bank activity from templates provided
~Support Controller by pulling and providing detail to internal customers to validate expenses and revenue
~Handle additional ad hoc assignments as business needs dictate, as directed by Controller
Qualifications & Requirements
✓ Bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred (CPA credential is a plus)
✓ Minimum 2 years' experience in accounting
✓ Experience in month-end closing tasks is preferred
✓ Willingness to work full-time during US PST or CST hours
✓ Experience working with U.S. based companies is preferred
✓ Experience working with multi-entity companies or healthcare organizations is preferred
