About the Role
Chapie is a fast-growing consumer brand with more than $3.5M in DTC sales. We design and manufacture vacuum-insulated stainless steel keychain lip balm holders and related products.
We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Product Design & Production Specialist to manage our product design process from early concept development through manufacturer-ready production files and final product imagery.
This is not a pure creative role. You will be responsible for executing a defined production system accurately, consistently, and with extremely high attention to detail.
Core Responsibilities
Design Ideation & Polling
Generate new Chapie concepts using ChatGPT and approved Ground Truth assets
Preserve exact product geometry, keychain placement, logo placement, and proportions
Build and organize design polls in Canva
Record results and advance winning concepts
Develop variations of strong designs
Help evaluate concepts based on customer response and manufacturing feasibility
Production Packet Creation
Build production documents using existing Canva templates and SOPs
Create collection overview graphics
Define colors, finishes, artwork, and manufacturing requirements
Generate flat 2D production artwork using ChatGPT
Perform seamless wrap tests for cylindrical artwork and repair issues when needed
Separate base finishes from applied artwork and other production layers
Prepare manufacturer-ready production files and documentation
Final Product Images & QC
Correct artwork, proportions, keychain geometry, logo placement, symmetry, and overall product geometry
Size products precisely using approved Boundary Guides
Create correctly sized Chapie OG and Chapie Plus versions
Maintain consistent sizing and positioning across designs
Complete final QC before any image or production document is approved
Required Skills
Strong Canva skills
Strong experience using ChatGPT and AI image generation
Exceptional attention to visual detail
Strong visual and design judgment
Ability to follow detailed SOPs accurately
Strong organization and file-management skills
Ability to identify small inconsistencies in proportions, patterns, seams, colors, and geometry
Comfortable iterating until work meets the required standard
Clear written communication
Nice to Have
Experience with physical consumer products
Production artwork or packaging experience
Experience working with manufacturers
Familiarity with coatings, printing methods, finishes, and cylindrical product artwork
What Success Looks Like
Production documents are complete, accurate, and manufacturer-ready
Final artwork wraps cleanly with no obvious seam issues
Product sizing and geometry remain consistent
Manufacturers can understand and execute the design without unnecessary clarification
Product imagery remains consistent across every collection
Each production round is executed accurately and efficiently
