We are seeking a versatile and highly skilled Web Designer, E-Commerce Developer and Digital Marketing Specialist to build, manage and promote a combination of professional business websites, lead-generation websites, landing pages and advanced e-commerce platforms.
Some assignments will involve straightforward informational websites, while others will require supplier-data integrations, automated inventory updates, custom e-commerce functionality and AI-assisted front-end and backend management.
This is not a position for someone whose experience is limited to installing templates, changing colors, using drag-and-drop builders or creating basic Canva graphics. We need someone who can determine the right solution for each project and produce professional, original, conversion-focused websites.

Not every website will require advanced custom development. The candidate must know when to use an efficient, established solution and when a project requires custom development or automation.
Primary Responsibilities
Plan, design, develop and launch professional websites for multiple businesses and industries.
Create original, polished and brand-specific website layouts.
Build websites that are fast, secure, responsive and easy to navigate.
Develop service pages, landing pages, product pages, forms, booking systems and checkout experiences.
Configure domains, hosting, SSL certificates, business
Integrate websites with CRMs,
Maintain existing websites, correct errors and improve performance.
Document website settings, integrations, automations and operating procedures.
Recommend the most efficient platform and development approach for each project.
Provide realistic project timelines and communicate problems before they delay a launch.
E-Commerce and Supplier Integration
For advanced projects, the candidate should be able to:
Connect supplier systems using APIs, webhooks, XML, CSV, JSON, SFTP or approved data-extraction methods.
Import and organize large supplier product catalogs.
Automatically update SKUs, prices, images, descriptions, variants and inventory levels.
Identify and remove discontinued or unavailable products.
Prevent duplicate products, incorrect prices, stale inventory and overselling.
Create daily or real-time synchronization when supported by the supplier.
Automate order routing, fulfillment updates, shipment tracking, cancellations and returns.
Build alerts for failed feeds, missing data, unusual pricing changes and synchronization errors.
Develop rollback and recovery procedures when an integration fails.
Confirm that supplier data, product descriptions and images may legally be used.
Professional Design and Graphics
We require more than template-style design or basic Canva experience.
The candidate should be capable of:
Creating original website graphics, promotional images, banners and advertisements.
Designing custom page layouts instead of relying entirely on prebuilt templates.
Producing graphics that look professional, credible and specific to the business.
Applying strong typography, spacing, color theory, visual hierarchy and brand consistency.
Using professional tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma or comparable software.
Editing, resizing, compressing and optimizing images without sacrificing quality.
Creating designs that do not resemble generic AI-generated advertisements or commonly reused social-media templates.
Maintaining a consistent visual identity across websites, advertisements, social media and marketing campaigns.
Canva may be used when appropriate, but it should not be the candidate’s primary or only design skill.
Digital Marketing and Website Promotion
Marketing experience is required. The candidate must understand that building the website is only one part of the assignment.
Responsibilities may include:
Creating an appropriate website marketing and launch strategy.
Performing on-page and technical SEO.
Optimizing service pages, product pages, categories, collections and landing pages.
Setting up Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console and Google Tag Manager.
Configuring conversion tracking, advertising pixels and remarketing audiences.
Managing Google Merchant Center and product feeds.
Supporting Google Shopping, Meta/Facebook and Instagram advertising.
Creating landing pages and promotional campaigns.
Setting up
Developing abandoned-cart, customer follow-up and re-engagement campaigns.
Implementing upsells, cross-sells, related products and promotional offers.
Conducting A/B tests and conversion-rate optimization.
Reviewing traffic, conversions, sales and customer behavior.
Recommending improvements based on measurable results—not assumptions.
Supporting local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization when applicable.
AI and Automation
The candidate should understand how to use AI responsibly to reduce repetitive work while maintaining appropriate human oversight.
AI and automation may be used to:
Assist with product descriptions, categories, tags and SEO metadata.
Create image-alt text and structured product information.
Support website search, product recommendations and customer assistance.
Monitor supplier feeds, prices and inventory.
Automate customer follow-ups and routine marketing activities.
Detect unusual orders, pricing conflicts and failed integrations.
Flag low-confidence content before it is published.
Escalate important exceptions to management.
The candidate must implement approval rules, alerts, activity logs, spending controls and recovery procedures. We are not seeking someone who will allow AI to publish sensitive information, incorrect prices or inaccurate inventory without safeguards.

Has a strong portfolio of original website and graphic-design work.
Can build both streamlined business websites and advanced e-commerce systems.
Understands design, development, automation and marketing.
Has completed at least one supplier-feed, API or inventory-synchronization project.
Can explain their personal contribution to each portfolio project.
Understands how websites support lead generation, sales and business growth.
Can work independently without constant instructions.
Communicates clearly and provides regular progress updates.
Tests work carefully before publishing it.
Documents systems so another qualified professional can maintain them.
Is honest about what they know and what they would need to research.
