AI Automation Specialist
Work Setup: Remote, Full-time hours — 3-month contract (with potential to extend and grow into a lead role)
Pay: Monthly contract salary, $960–$1,280/month (equivalent to ~$6–$8/hour, based on ~160 hours/month), depending on experience. Strong builders at the top of the range.
About the Role:
SLB In-Home Care is building AI + automation to run our back office and speed up how we serve families. We're looking for an AI Automation Specialist to build and maintain our automations — trackers, integrations, and AI agents that keep our documentation, scheduling, and operations running with less manual work.
You do not need to know our specific program—we provide training. This is a 3-month contract with a direct path to Automation Lead, coordinating a small automation team.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain automations in GoHighLevel (workflows, SMS/text flows, forms, e-sign)
- Build automation "glue" between our tools (ClickUp, GoHighLevel, DocuSign, Google Drive) using n8n / Make / Zapier, APIs, and webhooks
- Set up ClickUp tracker agents (supervisory visits, renewals, PPOT, DVN, deadlines) that alert us automatically
- Build simple AI agents/chatbots grounded in our knowledge base
- Add monitoring so we know the moment an automation breaks
- Write plain-English documentation so a non-technical owner can run and shut off any automation
- Keep everything organized in our own accounts
- Work closely with the team and take coaching as needed
Requirements
Must have:
- Real automation experience (GoHighLevel + n8n / Make / Zapier)
- Experience building AI agents or chatbots connected to a knowledge base
- Connecting apps via API and webhooks
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving
Preferred:
- ClickUp automations
- Some scripting (Python or JavaScript)
- Experience self-hosting n8n
Bonus:
- Voice AI agents (Vapi / Retell)
- Dashboards / reporting
Important:
Please do not apply if you only have general VA experience without real automation/building experience. Candidates should be able to show a real automation they built that is still running months later.
How to Apply:
Please send your updated resume and a short Loom video introducing yourself and your relevant automation experience, then include a brief response to the following:
1. How many years of automation experience do you have?
2. Which tools do you use most (GoHighLevel, n8n, Make, Zapier, ClickUp)?
3. Share 1–2 automations you built that are still running — links or a quick demo.
4. Have you built an AI agent/chatbot grounded in a knowledge base? Briefly describe.
5. Give one example of an automation that broke — how did you find out and fix it?
Only candidates with real automation experience will be considered. This role can grow into an Automation Lead position.
