Smart Home Automation / IoT Programmer – Zigbee & Alexa

Cornerstone Smart Global Corp. is expanding its Smart Home Automation division and is looking for a hands-on Smart Home Automation / IoT Programmer who can help us build, program, test, troubleshoot and document residential automation systems.

This is not purely remote work. We need someone who can work hands-on with actual devices at our Metro Manila office and occasionally visit project sites for commissioning and troubleshooting.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK WITH
Our projects may include:

Zigbee gateways/hubs and devices
Amazon Alexa / Echo devices
Smart switches and scene switches
Dimming modules and Zigbee LED drivers
Motion/presence sensors
Smart curtains
Smart plugs and relays
Lighting scenes and schedules
Voice commands and Alexa routines
Device grouping and room configuration
Other compatible smart-home/IoT devices

WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will help us:

Pair and configure Zigbee devices
Integrate devices with Amazon Alexa
Create scenes, routines, schedules and automations
Configure device groups, rooms and voice commands
Program and test systems before site deployment whenever possible
Commission completed systems on-site
Diagnose connectivity, pairing and automation issues
Reset/reconfigure devices when necessary
Maintain proper device naming and system organization
Prepare clear technical documentation for every project
Record device IDs, locations, configurations, scenes, routines and relevant system information
Help develop repeatable programming and commissioning procedures for our growing automation division

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We'd love to hear from you if you have experience in any combination of:

Zigbee • Amazon Alexa • Smart Home Automation • IoT • Home Assistant • Tuya/Smart Life • Sonoff/eWeLink • networking • device integration • automation programming • troubleshooting

You do not need experience with every brand we use.

More important is that you understand automation logic, are comfortable learning new devices/platforms, can troubleshoot independently, and can document your work properly.

IT, electronics, networking, computer engineering, ECE, electrical or similar technical backgrounds are welcome.

VERY IMPORTANT

We are building an in-house automation capability, not looking for someone who keeps the entire system inside his/her head.

Our programmer must be willing to:

document configurations and changes;
follow standardized naming and programming procedures;
maintain proper project records;
share project-specific technical knowledge with the team; and
create systems that another qualified technician can understand and maintain.

Good documentation is part of the job, not an optional extra.

WORK ARRANGEMENT
We are open to discussing:

Full-time | Part-time | Project-based

Initial programming and testing will preferably be performed at our office/demo environment before deployment.

There will also be occasional on-site work within Metro Manila and nearby project locations.

Compensation will depend on experience, technical capability and preferred work arrangement.
