## What You'll Be Doing
Your primary responsibility will be creating **full rough animation for fight/action sequences**.
You will:
* Create hand-drawn, frame-by-frame 2D rough animation
* Animate sword combat, attacks, dodges, running, jumping, impacts, etc.
* Create dynamic action poses and convincing movement
* Handle camera movement and changing perspectives during combat
* Establish timing, spacing, weight, speed, and impact
* Work from scripts, references, character sheets, and director notes
* Create rough layouts/background blocking when necessary for perspective
* Deliver animation that can move into cleanup/color without needing to be reanimated
* Keep Clip Studio Paint files organized for the rest of the production team
**You do NOT need to color the animation.**
Other members of the team will handle backgrounds, coloring, compositing, and other stages of production.
We want you focused on what you do best:
**Making the fights look GOOD.**

# Compensation
**$500–$1,000 USD/month depending on output, experience, and quality.**
$100 per 1 minute
Our current target is approximately **5 minutes of completed rough animation per month**, with the possibility of additional work up to approximately **10 minutes** depending on the complexity of the scenes and your production speed.
We understand that not every minute of animation requires the same amount of work. A highly complex fight sequence may require considerably more time than a simpler action sequence.
Quality, consistency, and communication matter more than simply rushing to hit a minute count.
Payment through PayPal.
Flexible working schedule.
This is intended to become a **long-term position** for the right animator as the project continues to grow.

# Paid Animation Test
Selected applicants may be offered a **PAID $50 animation test**.
The test will be approximately **20 seconds** using our characters and action direction.
We are not expecting final polished/color animation.
We want to see:
* Motion
* Timing
* Choreography
* Perspective
* Character consistency
* Camera movement
* Impact
* Ability to follow direction
* Communication and reliability
**The test is paid whether or not you are ultimately selected for the long-term position, provided the agreed test is completed and delivered.**
Strong performance on the test may lead directly to paid production work.

# What We're Looking For
You may be a good fit if:
* Fight/action animation is one of your strongest skills
* You understand anime-style action
* You have strong motion, timing, posing, and staging
* You can animate characters from multiple perspectives
* You're comfortable with hand-to-hand and/or weapon combat
* You're comfortable working in rough animation
* You can work without every frame being storyboarded for you
* You communicate consistently
* You can meet agreed deadlines
* You're comfortable working with **Christian themes**
* You can work in **Clip Studio Paint**
You do **not** need the world's biggest portfolio.
If you're talented but still building your professional portfolio, we're willing to give you an opportunity to prove yourself through the paid test.

# How to Apply
Please send:
1. **Your portfolio**
Fight scenes, action animation, rough animation, unfinished animation, and personal animation tests are strongly encouraged.
2. **Your best fight/action animation sample**
If you only want us to watch ONE piece of your work, tell us which one.
3. **Your availability**
Include your hours per week and time zone.
4. **Your Clip Studio Paint experience**
5. Answer the questions below.
### Application Questions
**1. What type of action are you strongest at?**
Sword fighting, hand-to-hand combat, fast movement, effects, dynamic camera work, etc.
**2. Have you animated a fight scene before?**
Please provide a link if possible.
**3. How many minutes of FULL rough animation could you realistically produce per month?**
Please give us a realistic answer. We would rather have an honest estimate than an exaggerated one.
**4. Roughly how long would it take you to rough animate a 20-second high-action fight sequence?**
**5. Are you comfortable animating directly from a script, character sheets, references, and director instructions without a complete storyboard?**
**6. What are your biggest strengths as an animator?**
**7. What type of animation do you struggle with the most?**
**8. How many hours per week can you consistently commit over the next several months?**
**9. Are you willing to complete a paid $50 / approximately 20-second animation test if selected?**

## Important
We're building a small team, so **reliability matters just as much as talent.**
You don't have to be the fastest animator.
You don't have to create perfect drawings during the rough stage.
But if you accept an assignment, we need consistent communication and progress.
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys animating action and wants the opportunity to help create memorable anime fight scenes.
If that's you, **show us what you can do.**
