JOB OVERVIEW

Schedule: Part-Time (Up to 20 hours per week, U.S. business hours)

About the Role
We're looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Remote Accountant to support our growing business. This is a part-time position (up to 20 hours per week). The workload will typically increase during payroll periods, so candidates must be available to provide additional support during those times.

You do not need to be a CPA or hold an accounting license. However, you must have solid accounting experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive financial information with the highest level of integrity.

Beyond traditional accounting responsibilities, we're looking for someone who enjoys improving processes. You'll work closely with our team to evaluate our internal accounting workflows, identify areas for improvement, and help shape new features for our proprietary software.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping tasks
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
Assist with payroll processing and payroll-related reporting
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure financial accuracy
Support month-end and year-end accounting tasks
Handle confidential financial and banking information with the highest level of discretion
Review accounting workflows within our internal platform (Apex)
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and recommend new features or enhancements
Collaborate with leadership to brainstorm practical solutions that improve efficiency and reporting
Perform other accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned
Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
Experience with payroll is highly preferred
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Highly trustworthy with the ability to handle confidential financial and banking information
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Moderately tech-savvy and able to quickly learn new software
Able to evaluate accounting workflows and provide thoughtful recommendations for system improvements
Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software is preferred
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Must be comfortable working during U.S. business hours
