Who we are
Veritas Management Group is an outsourced finance department for owner-led companies in the $5M to $50M range: construction, manufacturing, healthcare and surgery centers, law firms and multi-location businesses. One team, one system, a CFO who stands behind every number. Our clients stay for years and they refer us. What we don't have is enough first conversations. That is the job.
The role, in one sentence
You get qualified business owners onto the CFO's calendar for a Financial X-Ray, a 45-minute diagnostic conversation, and you do it in a way we can see and measure every week.
That's it. You don't sell the engagement; the CFO does that. You don't design marketing; we have that. You find the right people, reach them, and book them.
What a qualified meeting is
An owner, CEO, COO or managing partner of a company doing $5M to $50M a year, in one of our target industries, in Oklahoma, Texas or the surrounding region, with a confirmed time on the CFO's calendar that they actually show up to. Connections don't count. Replies don't count. "Interested, circle back next quarter" doesn't count. A meeting that holds counts.
What you'll do
Build weekly target lists against the criteria above, from LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, local business journals, chamber and association rosters, and your own network. Every list goes to the CFO for approval before you touch it.
Run multi-touch outreach to approved names by phone,
Work referral paths: CPAs, attorneys, bankers, insurance brokers and peer-group leaders who serve our target companies. Warm introductions close at many times the rate of cold outreach, and we'll give you the names we already know.
Book through the CFO's scheduling link, confirm the day before, and hand off a one-paragraph brief on who they are and why they took the meeting.
Log every contact, touch, and outcome in HubSpot the same day. HubSpot is the system of record. If it isn't in HubSpot it didn't happen.
Report every Friday: meetings booked, meetings held, list for next week. A number, not a narrative.
The number
Ramp target is 4 qualified meetings per month by day 60 and 8 per month by day 90. We've modeled this; the math is realistic for someone who picks up the phone. The 90-day review is against that number and nothing else.
How we work
Fixed hours. You work a set block, Monday through Friday, US Central Time, and you're reachable inside it. Where you sit is your business. Whether you're on when you said you'd be is ours.
Visibility. The CFO can open HubSpot at any time and see exactly what you did this week. You never have to tell us you've been busy; we can look.
The CFO's relationships are off limits. Current clients, former clients and named referral partners are handled by the CFO. You'll get a do-not-contact list and it's absolute.
Every update ends with a RISK line. "RISK: none" or "RISK: the list for next week is thin because the manufacturing vertical is tapped out in Tulsa." Every time.
You represent a CFO firm. Outreach is professional, specific and short. No spray, no scripts that sound like scripts, nothing sent from the CFO's accounts without his approval.
What you bring
2+ years of B2B outbound or appointment-setting where the buyer was a business owner or executive, and you can show the numbers you produced.
Comfortable on the phone with a company president. This is the one thing we can't teach.
Working knowledge of HubSpot or a comparable CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and at least one data tool (Apollo, ZoomInfo, Seamless).
Clear, direct written English.
Experience selling into professional services, accounting, banking or B2B services is a strong plus. Understanding what a fractional CFO does is a bigger one.
A track record of hitting a number you were given. References will be asked about this specifically.
What you get
A real offer that owners want once they hear it, from a CFO who closes well when he's in the room.
Clear rules, clear target, and a bonus structure that pays you for exactly what we asked for.
A path to a full-time Sales / BD Lead seat, with a team under you, when the firm hits its next growth gate.
