JOB OVERVIEW

Job Summary:
We are hiring an Engagement Specialist to manage inbound conversations on LinkedIn and Substack. Your day centers on a prepared queue of messages and comments waiting for a reply. You will choose the right response for each situation, keep conversations moving, and spot the people who are genuinely interested. Excellent written English and careful reading are the core of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work through a daily queue of LinkedIn direct messages and comments
- Respond to Substack comments and reader replies in a professional, on-brand tone
- Choose the correct prepared message from an existing library for each conversation
- Read and understand the full context of a conversation before replying
- Flag conversations that show real interest instead of continuing with a template
- Keep the tone and voice consistent across every account you handle
- Escalate sensitive or high-value conversations rather than guessing
- Clear the queue daily so no message is left unanswered
- Treat all account access and private messages with strict confidentiality

Mandatory Skills:
- Native or near-native written English with excellent grammar and natural phrasing
- Strong reading comprehension and contextual understanding
- Good judgment when selecting the right response
- Complete discretion with confidential account access
- Comfortable using LinkedIn and Substack messaging tools
- Dependable, thorough, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Clear communication and consistent responsiveness
- Reliable internet connection and a stable, quiet work setup

Preferred Skills:
- Experience managing DMs, inboxes, or online communities for another person or brand
- Solid understanding of how LinkedIn works for business networking
- Exposure to lead qualification or identifying buying signals in writing
- Background in customer support, sales support, or copywriting
- Practice writing in someone else's voice or following tone guidelines
- Ability to stay accurate and focused during repetitive, high-volume work
