YouTube Ads Manager & Strategist for Established Contractor Education Brand
We are looking for an experienced YouTube Ads Manager and Strategist to help us build and scale a profitable YouTube advertising system.
This is not a role for someone who only knows how to set up campaigns, monitor clicks, and send reports. We need someone who understands the entire buyer journey—from the ad and video creative to the landing page, checkout, conversion tracking, retargeting, and campaign profitability.
## About the Business
We provide business and financial education for established construction contractors. Our programs help contractors uncover profit problems, improve estimating, understand their numbers, and build more profitable companies.
Our current funnel begins with a live, paid workshop for established contractors. The goal is to generate qualified workshop buyers—not simply inexpensive views, clicks, or unqualified leads.
Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
* Developing the overall YouTube advertising strategy
* Researching our audience, competitors, keywords, channels, and placements
* Building and managing YouTube campaigns inside Google Ads
* Recommending campaign structure, targeting, budgets, and bidding strategies
* Helping identify the strongest hooks, messages, and video concepts
* Advising us on what creative assets and video variations are needed
* Setting up and verifying accurate conversion tracking
* Monitoring campaign performance and making ongoing optimizations
* Building retargeting campaigns for viewers and website visitors
* Reviewing the complete funnel and identifying conversion problems
* Reporting on the numbers that matter, including cost per purchase, conversion rate, customer acquisition cost, and return on ad spend
* Clearly explaining what is working, what is not working, and what should be tested next
## You May Be a Good Fit If You:
* Have proven experience managing YouTube advertising campaigns
* Understand direct-response marketing and conversion strategy
* Have experience with paid workshops, webinars, education programs, consulting, or lead-generation funnels
* Know Google Ads, YouTube campaign structures, Google Tag Manager, GA4, and conversion tracking
* Can evaluate video creative and provide strategic feedback
* Understand that cheap traffic does not automatically mean profitable traffic
* Make decisions based on data without losing sight of the customer and the message
* Communicate clearly in written and spoken English
* Are proactive, organized, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership
* Can work with a U.S.-based business and provide some availability during Eastern Time business hours
Experience marketing to contractors, construction companies, business owners, or other high-value B2B audiences is a strong advantage.
Do Not Apply If:
* Your experience is primarily with Meta Ads and you have limited hands-on YouTube Ads experience
* You focus only on views, impressions, or clicks
* You depend on the client to tell you every campaign change to make
* You cannot explain how your work contributes to sales and profitability
* You use the same campaign strategy for every business
What to Include in Your Application
Please answer the following questions:
1. How many years have you actively managed YouTube Ads?
2. What types of businesses and funnels have you worked with?
3. Describe one YouTube campaign you managed, including the offer, budget, cost per conversion, and final results.
4. How would you approach advertising a $197 live workshop to established construction contractors?
5. What would you review before recommending an advertising budget?
6. How do you determine whether a campaign problem is caused by the targeting, creative, offer, landing page, or follow-up?
7. Which tools do you use for tracking, reporting, and campaign analysis?
8. What working hours and weekly availability can you provide?
9. What is your expected monthly or hourly compensation?
Please also include a short Loom video introducing yourself and walking us through a YouTube campaign you personally managed. You may hide the client’s name and other confidential information.
Begin your application with the words **“Profit First”** so we know you read the complete job description.
