The role
We run direct-response e-commerce brands on Meta in Spanish-speaking markets. We produce a lot of video creative, and our winning ads die faster than they should, partly because we don't track iteration performance closely enough.
That's your job: keep winning ads alive longer, and know exactly which iterations work.
This is not a new-concept scriptwriting role. Our senior strategist owns new angles. You own iterations and repurposing of already-proven creatives.
What you'll do
- Monitor active winning ads weekly for fatigue signals (rising frequency, rising CPM, declining ROAS) and flag ones about to drop
- Write hook variations before they decline, varying the first 3 seconds in genuinely different ways: visual, audio/voiceover, and structural (not just a new opening line)
- Repurpose proven creatives across products where the angle transfers
- Track every iteration's result and report which types actually extended a winner's life
- Brief our video editors clearly
Requirements
- 1+ years with direct-response video ads on Meta
- Comfortable reading Ads Manager data (frequency, CPM, ROAS, CPA)
- Strong written English, highly organized, responsive on Slack
- You know the difference between a real hook variation and a cosmetic edit
Details
- Full-time, 40 hrs/week
- Salary: 5$
- Long-term
How to apply — read carefully
- Start your subject line with the word PURPLE-TOE (applications without it are deleted unread)
- Record a 60–90 second Loom or voice recording answering this:
One of our ads has run 3 weeks, frequency is at 1.8, ROAS is dropping. Give me 3 hook variations you'd make — and say why each is genuinely different, not cosmetic.
- In writing, tell me one ad you personally iterated that failed, and what you think went wrong
- Your expected monthly rate
Text-only applications, or ones without the subject line code, will not be reviewed.
