About Us:

We’re a growing Canadian book box subscription company specializing in exclusive special edition books and curated merchandise for readers around the world.

Job Overview:

We’re looking for a Motion Designer with strong 3D visualization and creative video skills. You’ll create realistic 3D mockups and animations of our special edition books in a short-form content for TikTok and Instagram. Each video should reflect the genre, themes, and aesthetic of the featured book rather than relying on generic templates. We’ll send you examples of the style and quality we’re looking for during the hiring process.

Responsibilities:
- 3D animated mockup of our special edition books (rotating books, opening books, page-turning animations, and other product-focused animations) with special effects like sprayed edges, foiling, embossing, and other details.
- Create cinematic short-form videos inspired by the theme, genre, mood, or aesthetic of each featured book.
- Add on-screen text, graphics, music, and other elements where appropriate.
- Follow brand guidelines while bringing your own creative ideas and visual style.
- Make revisions based on feedback and deliver final files in the required formats.

Qualifications:

- Experience with professional video and motion design software such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, Blender, etc.
- Experience creating short-form social media content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or similar platforms.
