JOB OVERVIEW

Job Summary

We are looking for a Meme Editor with strong NBA and NFL knowledge and a deep understanding of current sports meme culture. The ideal candidate can quickly identify viral moments, trending storylines, and meme opportunities and turn them into engaging content for our audience.

This role requires someone who is fast, creative, reliable, and comfortable working around NBA and NFL schedules, including nights and weekends.

Duties

- Create original and engaging NBA and NFL memes for social media.
- Monitor NBA and NFL games, news, and social media for timely content opportunities.
- Develop meme concepts around current NBA and NFL storylines, events, and trending conversations.
- Adapt current meme formats and templates to NBA- and NFL-related topics.
- Work closely with editors and team leads to refine content based on feedback.
- Maintain a consistent content output during assigned shifts.

Basic Qualifications
- Strong and up-to-date knowledge of the NBA and NFL, including teams, players, storylines, rivalries, trades, and current narratives.
- Strong understanding of NBA and NFL meme culture and what sports audiences currently find funny and engaging.
- Familiarity with trends and meme formats on X/Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Excellent reaction time and the ability to identify and act on content opportunities quickly.
- Able to work efficiently under time-sensitive conditions, especially during live NBA and NFL games.
- Reliable and able to work assigned shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Open to constructive criticism and willing to make changes based on feedback.
- Strong sense of humor, creativity, and awareness of current internet culture.
- Previous experience creating memes or social media content is preferred.
