ASAP Marketing is a fast-paced social media and content agency working with brands across a variety of industries. We specialize in producing high-volume, engaging short-form content designed for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other social channels.

We're looking for an experienced Short-Form Video Editor to join our growing creative team.

The Role

As a Short-Form Video Editor, you'll be responsible for turning raw footage, UGC, brand assets, and creative concepts into polished, engaging vertical videos.

You'll work closely with our Social Media Managers, UGC Coordinators, General Manager, and other members of our creative team to ensure content is edited accurately, efficiently, and delivered on schedule.

This is a high-volume editing position. Many of the videos we produce are relatively straightforward, but we work with multiple brands and produce a significant amount of content every month.

We're looking for someone who can maintain quality while working quickly, consistently, and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Edit high volumes of short-form vertical video content in 9:16 format
* Create content primarily for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
* Turn raw footage and UGC into polished, social-ready video
* Coordinate with Social Media Managers and UGC Coordinators to ensure all necessary footage and assets are available
* Add captions, graphics, sound effects, music, transitions, B-roll, and other elements where appropriate
* Create strong hooks within the opening seconds of a video
* Understand and implement editing techniques designed to improve viewer retention and watch time
* Effectively use risers, pattern interrupts, pacing, sound design, cuts, zooms, B-roll, and visual hooks
* Maintain each client's individual editing style and brand identity
* Organize project files and exported content properly
* Complete revisions quickly when requested
* Manage multiple brands and projects simultaneously
* Consistently meet deadlines and expected editing output
* Communicate proactively with the team if footage, assets, instructions, or information are missing

What We're Looking For

Experience working for a social media agency, UGC agency, content agency, or with multiple brands simultaneously is a major advantage.

Editing Software

Experience with professional editing software such as:

* Adobe Premiere Pro
* DaVinci Resolve (Preferably DaVinci Resolve)

We're less concerned about which software you use and more concerned about the quality, speed, and consistency of your work.

What Success Looks Like:

This role is not about spending an entire day perfecting one video.

We operate in a high-volume environment, so the ideal editor understands how to balance quality with efficiency.

A successful editor at ASAP will be able to:

* Produce a high number of quality edits consistently
* Meet deadlines without sacrificing attention to detail
* Understand the intended style without excessive back-and-forth
* Identify opportunities to improve hooks, pacing, and retention
* Keep projects organized across multiple brands
* Communicate effectively with the rest of the content team
* Become faster and more efficient as they learn our clients and systems
