We're looking for an editor who can turn raw footage into a clean, cinematic, professional video — not a heavily-edited, flashy YouTube style.

Minimal transitions, minimal effects — cuts should feel intentional, not decorative
No excessive on-screen text, no meme-style pop-ups, no jump-cut-heavy pacing
Clear, well-designed on-screen text when it is used (subtitles/captions and key vocabulary call-outs matter — our audience is learning a language, so legibility comes first)
Thoughtful, considered use of colour — nothing garish or trend-driven
Overall feel: clean, calm, easy to follow, and easy to understand — not "engagement-optimised" chaos
The Core Skill We're Hiring For

Storytelling through editing. We need someone who can take raw footage and shape it into a compelling narrative through clip selection, pacing, and structure — not someone who relies on effects to create energy. The edit should hold attention because of what's chosen and how it's sequenced, not because of flashy overlays.

Requirements
Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve (required)
CapCut editors will not be considered — please don't apply if this is your primary tool
Experience cutting long-form talking-head / educational content down into a tight, watchable video
Strong eye for pacing, structure, and narrative flow
Comfortable with clean caption/text design (colour, font, placement, legibility)
Reliable monthly turnaround for 4 videos
