JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Shopify, Klaviyo and Server-Side Tracking Developer to join a growing ecommerce business.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on building and improving a modern ecommerce stack across Shopify Plus, Klaviyo, server-side tracking, catalog feeds, third-party integrations and workflow automations.

You will be responsible for developing and enhancing Shopify functionality, creating and maintaining integrations with key ecommerce and marketing platforms, managing catalog feeds, building Klaviyo emails and flows, and supporting server-side tracking using Stape and Google Tag Manager.

While Laravel and UnoPim experience is still valuable, the main focus of this role is now on Shopify, Klaviyo and server-side tracking. Laravel development may be supported internally where required.

This is an excellent opportunity for a developer who enjoys solving technical ecommerce challenges, improving systems, and working across multiple connected platforms.

This role is expected to be full time for the first 3 to 6 months while major platform development is underway. As the project matures, there is potential for the role to transition to part time, although the structure remains flexible depending on the successful candidate and business requirements.

Responsibilities

* Develop and enhance Shopify Plus themes, custom apps, checkout extensions, Shopify Functions and Liquid components.

* Build, manage and optimise Klaviyo emails, campaigns, automations and flows.

* Manage server-side tracking using Stape and Google Tag Manager containers.

* Set up, maintain and troubleshoot tracking across ecommerce and marketing platforms.

* Develop and maintain integrations with Google Merchant Center, Meta, TikTok Shop, Shopify Markets and marketplace platforms.

* Manage and diagnose product catalog feeds across ecommerce and advertising channels.

* Extend and maintain Shopify and ecommerce sales channel connectors.

* Build and maintain Node.js services and APIs where required.

* Support custom Laravel applications and UnoPim modules where needed, working alongside internal Laravel resources.

* Build custom Product Lifecycle Management, Pricing Engine, Procurement and Barcode Generator modules within UnoPim where required.

* Design and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs following best practices.

* Build and maintain workflow automations using n8n.

* Manage Docker based applications hosted on DigitalOcean VPS environments.

* Configure, monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure, backups, deployments and server security.

* Optimise application performance, scalability and reliability.

* Troubleshoot production issues across multiple interconnected systems.

* Collaborate with stakeholders to design technical solutions for evolving business requirements.

* Maintain documentation for architecture, deployment processes, tracking setup and integrations.

* Keep all applications, integrations and infrastructure up to date with platform and security requirements.

Requirements

* Strong Shopify development experience, including Shopify Plus.

* Experience building Shopify apps, checkout extensions, Shopify Functions and Liquid themes.

* Strong Klaviyo experience, including email templates, campaigns, flows and ecommerce automations.

* Experience with server-side tracking, ideally using Stape and Google Tag Manager.

* Experience managing ecommerce tracking, pixels, events and conversion data.

* Experience with catalog feeds, including Google Merchant Center, Meta, TikTok Shop and marketplace platforms.

* Strong understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs and system integrations.

* Strong commercial experience with Node.js.

* Laravel experience is highly regarded, but not the sole focus of the role.

* Experience with UnoPim or other PIM systems is highly regarded.

* Experience working with Docker containers and Docker Compose.

* Experience managing Linux based cloud servers.

* Experience with DigitalOcean or similar cloud platforms.

* Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, deployments and infrastructure management.

* Experience working with Git and collaborative development workflows.

* Experience with SQL databases, including MySQL and PostgreSQL.

* Experience working with Tailwind CSS.

* Experience with Redis.

* Experience designing scalable and maintainable software architecture.

* Excellent debugging, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

* Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

* Highly organised with excellent time management skills.

* Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
