## About Milemarker
Milemarker is the data infrastructure layer for wealth management. We're Snowflake-native, we run 130+ integrations, and we power the operating data for RIAs, broker-dealers, family offices, TAMPs, and insurance distribution networks — about 50 firms today.
We also tell that story publicly. The Rising Tide newsletter, the Next Mile podcast, our webinar series, and our client case studies are how the industry learns what we do. Right now that content is produced in bursts by people with other jobs. We want someone whose job it is.
## The role
You own how Milemarker looks and sounds — every video, every episode, every clip, every asset that leaves this building.
This is a hands-on maker's role, not a management role. You will be in the timeline. You will be the one who takes a two-hour recorded conversation and turns it into a podcast episode, a YouTube cut, six short-form clips, a newsletter pull-quote, and a set of stills — and does it on a schedule, every week, without being chased.
Over time, you'll build and lead the production function that supports both Milemarker's own brand and the client work we do through Growth Services.
## What you'll do
**Video production (the core of the job)**
- Edit and finish long-form video: podcast episodes, webinars, client interviews, conference recordings
- Cut short-form derivatives for LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and
- Produce product demos and feature walkthroughs from screen recordings and raw footage
- Build and maintain motion graphics, lower thirds, title cards, and animated brand elements
- Handle audio: cleanup, leveling, mixing, mastering for podcast distribution
- Direct remote recording sessions when needed — lighting, framing, and audio guidance for guests who are not on camera for a living
**Content operations**
- Run the production calendar: know what's shooting, what's editing, what's shipping, and what's blocked
- Manage the asset library — footage, b-roll, logos, templates, brand kits — so nothing gets rebuilt twice
- Repurpose one recording into every format it can support
- Package and publish: YouTube, podcast hosts, LinkedIn, HubSpot, the website
- Design supporting static assets — thumbnails, social graphics, slide templates, one-pagers
**Craft and consistency**
- Hold the visual and tonal standard across everything we publish
- Maintain and evolve our templates so quality doesn't depend on who's editing
- Give honest feedback on scripts, story structure, and pacing before we shoot, not after
## What we're looking for
**Required**
- 5+ years editing and producing video professionally, with a reel that shows both long-form and short-form work
- Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (or a demonstrably equivalent stack)
- Strong audio post skills — Audition, Descript, or similar
- Real design ability: Figma or the Adobe suite, enough to make a thumbnail or a title card that doesn't look like a template
- Excellent written and spoken English. You'll be pulling quotes, writing captions, titling episodes, and sitting in creative reviews with US colleagues
- Self-directed. You get a raw file and a brief and come back with a cut, not with questions you could have answered yourself
- Reliable internet, a machine that can handle 4K multicam, and a workspace you can take calls from
**Nice to have**
- B2B, SaaS, or financial services content experience
- Podcast production end-to-end
- Motion design chops beyond templates
- Familiarity with HubSpot, ClickUp, Notion, Riverside, or
- Comfort editing screen-recorded software demos — a lot of our footage is product, not people
## How we'll evaluate you
1. **Portfolio review.** Send a reel or a link. We care more about three pieces you're proud of than a comprehensive catalog.
2. **Conversation** with the Creative Director about how you work and what you want to build.
3. **Paid trial edit.** We'll give you real footage from a real episode and a brief. You'll get a few days and fair compensation for the work.
4. **Final conversation** with the broader Growth Services team.
## Why this role is worth taking
You'll have an unusual amount of ownership. There is no layer of approvals between you and the work. You'll help define what the function becomes rather than inheriting someone else's system.
We're a globally distributed company — leadership in the US, operations in the Philippines, engineering in India. Remote isn't an accommodation here; it's how the company was built.
