### DaVinci Resolve Preferred | $35 per Video | Long-Term Opportunity
Hi!
We are a growing European media & e-commerce agency looking for a **creative, reliable and highly detail-oriented Video Editor** for ongoing product video production.
## Payment
### **$35 USD per completed and approved standard video**
Videos are usually **15–30 seconds long, maximum 45 seconds**.
### Paid Trial
Shortlisted candidates will create **one paid trial video**:
* **$20** if the video reaches our quality standard and is client-ready
* **$10 trial compensation** if it is completed seriously and technically correctly but does not reach the required professional/creative standard
We are looking for a **long-term editor with regular assignments**, not one-time or free trial work.

## The Job
We create short **product explanation, e-commerce and advertising videos** for products from many different industries.
For a typical project, you will receive approximately **10–15 prepared and pre-selected clips**, which may include real product footage, photography, AI-generated scenes, animations, demonstrations, comparisons and stock footage.
A lot of the production work is therefore already prepared.
However, **you are not simply assembling clips.**
Your job is to understand the product and turn the available material into a **professional, persuasive and visually strong product story**.
The provided clips are source material – not a mandatory shot list. If only 8 out of 15 clips are good enough, use the 8. If something important is missing, you should be able to **research suitable licensed stock footage yourself**.
---
## Product Understanding & Sales Psychology
Before editing, you should understand:
* Who is the target customer?
* What problem does the product solve?
* What makes it different?
* What are its strongest features and benefits?
* What is the main selling point?
* Why should someone want to buy it?
Products can come from completely different industries – from cleaning products and household goods to kitchen tools or products designed to make everyday tasks easier for elderly people.
You must be able to **quickly understand a new product and translate its benefits into visual language.**
We also expect a good understanding of **sales psychology and persuasive storytelling**.
A strong video might follow:
**Hook ? Problem/Desire ? Solution ? Demonstration ? Benefit ? Proof/Comparison ? Result**
You should understand how to create curiosity, build tension, demonstrate benefits and maintain attention.
Our goal is not simply to create beautiful videos.
### We want beautiful videos that help sell products.
---
## Independent Thinking & Attention to Detail
Some provided material may be AI-generated. AI footage can look excellent while containing subtle errors.
You must notice problems such as:
* Changing or incorrect product labels
* Unreadable text or changing logos
* Packaging, colors or proportions changing
* Product parts appearing/disappearing
* Strange hands or unrealistic movement
* Incorrect product functionality
* Continuity errors
* Incorrect before/after comparisons
* AI artifacts
**Never use a clip simply because it was provided.**
If something is wrong, independently d
You are one of the final quality-control steps before the video reaches our client.
---
## Skills
**DaVinci Resolve is strongly preferred.**
You should have experience with:
* Professional video editing
* Product/commercial storytelling
* Pacing, composition and visual hierarchy
* Music & sound design
* Basic titles/graphics
* Basic color correction
* Professional exports
* Stock footage research
* Advertising / sales psychology
Basic **Adobe Photoshop** knowledge is highly desirable.
Experience with **Adobe Firefly or other professional AI image/video tools** is a strong advantage.
The final result should feel:
**Clean. Modern. Premium. Persuasive. Intentional.**
---
## Portfolio Required
Please send examples of work that **you personally edited**.
We are especially interested in:
* Product videos
* Commercials
* E-commerce / social media ads
* Product explainers
* Direct-response creatives
* Before/after content
We care about both **visual quality and the ability to communicate why someone should want a product.**
---
## Paid Trial
For the trial, you will receive product information, prepared footage and other available assets. Please add stock footage that you researched specificall for this video.
Your task is to:
**Understand the product ? identify the main selling point ? develop the story ? select the best material ? research missing stock ? edit ? add music/sound ? quality-check ? deliver the final video.**
We will mainly evaluate:
**Product understanding • Sales psychology • Storytelling • Editing & pacing • Aesthetic quality • Material selection • Attention to detail • Product accuracy • Independent thinking**
The final question is simple:
### Would this video be good enough to send directly to a paying client?
---
## How to Apply
Please send:
* Your portfolio
* Your main editing software
* DaVinci Resolve experience
* Photoshop experience
* Adobe Firefly / AI experience, if applicable
* Product/commercial editing experience
* Weekly availability
* Confirmation that you accept the paid trial
Please also answer these **4 short questions in your own words**:
**1.** You receive 15 clips, but only 8 are strong enough for the final video. What do you do?
**2.** An impressive AI-generated clip contains a product label that changes slightly during the shot. What do you do?
**3.** Before editing a product you have never seen before, what do you need to understand about the product and its customer?
**4.** You have 20 seconds to sell a product that solves an annoying everyday problem. How would you structure the video to create curiosity and purchase desire?
Please keep your answers **short, practical and personal**.
