About us
We are a US-based college admissions consulting company. We help high school students get into their dream schools in the United States — through school list strategy, essay coaching, and full application support. We've been doing this for three and a half years and currently have a full roster of students and families who depend on us. Our advising philosophy is fit-first, not prestige-chasing: we tell families the truth about where a student stands and build a realistic plan from there.
We're a small team, so what you do will be visible and will matter.
The role
You are the person who makes sure our families always know exactly what's going on. Two buckets:
Bucket 1 — Client communication (about 70% of your time)
Answer questions from students and parents over
After every counselor meeting: pull the transcript, build a parent-facing recap presentation from our locked template, generate an AI voiceover video from it, and send it to the parent within 24 hours
Keep CRM records clean and current — contact info, meeting notes, pipeline stages, task follow-ups
Flag anything that needs a real admissions judgment call to the founder or a counselor instead of guessing
Bucket 2 — Social media data tracking (about 30% of your time)
Pull performance data from our social channels into a tracking workbook on a set weekly cadence
Keep it accurate and on time so we can make decisions from it
Surface patterns you notice — we'd rather hear your read on the numbers than just receive the numbers
Priority rule: client work always comes first. If a recap video is due and the social workbook isn't finished, the recap ships and the workbook waits. We will never be upset with you for making that call.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Philippine Time, one hour paid lunch = 9 hours paid per day
This is a day shift in the Philippines. No graveyard, no night work.
It happens to overlap with US evening hours, which is when most family questions arrive and when the founder is available to you directly
Philippine regular holidays off
Pay and terms
Trial period: 2 weeks / 80 hours at $8.00 USD per hour. This is paid real work, not an unpaid audition. You'll receive the exact pass criteria in writing on your first day, so there's no guessing about what you're being measured on.
On passing the trial: $10.00 USD per hour, effective immediately. 30 hours/week.
Paid every other Tuesday via Payoneer
13th-month pay, paid in December (prorated in your first year)
Independent contractor. No paid leave — unpaid leave available with two weeks' notice
Philippine regular holidays off
Formal review at 12 months with room to move up again
Hours tracked through TimeProof during the trial and your first few months. Once we've built trust, we drop the tracking and manage by deliverables instead.
Required
2+ years in customer support, customer success, or a client-facing VA role
Excellent written English. You will be writing directly to anxious parents who are paying us a lot of money. Warm, clear, professional, no fluff.
Comfortable and current with AI tools. Not "I've used ChatGPT" — you should be able to tell us about a workflow you actually built or improved with AI and what came out of it.
Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail)
Genuinely organized. You track many moving pieces across many students without dropping any.
Independent. When you hit something you don't know, your instinct is to figure it out and then tell us what you found — not to wait.
Reliable internet (25 Mbps+), your own computer, a decent headset, a quiet place to work, and a backup plan for power and internet outages
Available for the full shift above
Nice to have
GoHighLevel experience — this is a strong plus and will move you up our list significantly
Experience with AI voiceover or video tools
Presentation building
Any exposure to US college admissions, education, or working with American clients

Confidentiality
This role involves sensitive information about minors: academic records, test scores, family financial context, and personal essays about difficult experiences. Discretion is not negotiable. A signed confidentiality agreement is part of onboarding, and access to student materials is scoped to what the role requires.
If that sounds like a lot of responsibility, it is. It's also why this role is paid above the typical support rate.
Growth
We're small and getting bigger, and we'd rather promote than hire. As you prove yourself, this role can expand into owning client success outright, training the next hire, or taking on more of our operations.
Who this is not for
Anyone looking for part-time or side work, or who is juggling multiple clients
Anyone who needs every task spelled out before they can start
Anyone uncomfortable writing directly to demanding, worried parents
How to apply
Read this part carefully. Applications that skip a step are not reviewed.
Put the words techno-caliber in your subject line. This is how we know you read the post.
Answer these two questions in your application — short and specific beats long and general:
Tell us about a time you had to figure something out at work with no one available to ask. What did you do?
Which AI tools do you actually use, and what have you used them for? Give one concrete example.
Take a free Big Five personality test (search "free Big Five personality test") and paste your five scores into your application. There are no wrong answers and we do not screen anyone out on this — we use it to have a better conversation with you.
Tell us your internet speed and what your backup plan is when the power goes out.
Shortlisted candidates do a 20-minute video call, then a short paid test task using real (anonymized) work — you'll draft a reply to an actual student question. You are expected to use AI for it. We want to see how you use it, how you verify what it tells you, and whether you can make the result sound like a real person wrote it. Nothing about the task is a trap; we just need to see the skill before we hire.
We reply to everyone who follows the instructions above.
