JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a reliable video editor who can edit both long-form educational content for Youtube and short-form clips for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

You should understand pacing, storytelling, clean editing, strong hooks, and how to make educational content easy to watch.

Long-Form Reference: ----------

Long-Form Requirements:
Remove obvious mistakes, repeated points, long pauses, “ums,” and dead space.
Keep the conversation natural and easy to follow.
Maintain good pacing without over-editing.
Use clean cuts and professional audio.
Do not add flashy captions, excessive effects, or unnecessary animations.
Match the structure, pacing, and overall feel of the long-form reference video.

Trial Task:
Outcome: Edit one short-form content from the same raw footage.

Raw Video File: ----------

Short-Form References: ---------- + ----------

Short-Form Editing Requirements
Create short-form clips from the raw video.

1. Find the hook
Find the strongest moment in the long-form video.

The short must open with an instantly interesting line.
The hook should begin within the first 1–3 seconds.
No greetings, introductions, or unnecessary setup.
Start with the speaker already talking.
Add a timeline marker labeled:
HOOK - [exact words]
2. Edit the content
Build one clear content unit:

Hook → Explanation, example, or framework → Payoff

Remove:

Filler words
Long pauses
Repeated points
Side stories
Unnecessary qualifiers
Any boring moments
Target length: 30–60 seconds, unless the payoff justifies a longer clip.

3. Add clean captions
Short-form videos should include:

Clean, readable, mobile-friendly captions.
Captions timed accurately to the spoken words.
Simple formatting with no unnecessary effects.
Key words may be emphasized when appropriate.
Captions must not be too small, crowded, or difficult to read.
Do not use excessive animations, distracting colors, or over-designed caption styles.

4. Export and organize
Export short-form videos in vertical 9:16 format.
Remove all dead air at the beginning and end.
Do not include black frames.
Name each file using the topic and hook.
Submit the long-form edit and completed short-form clips together.

Please Submit
