We kindly ask that you apply here for this job. Please do not contact Handspring or its employees about this role, as it will remove you from consideration.
Who We Are:
Handspring is a virtual mental health clinic for children, young adults, and families in the US. Our care depends entirely on the quality of our clinicians, so finding and hiring great therapists is one of the most important things we do.
About the Role:
We're hiring an Outreach Specialist to help our recruiters reach more therapists.
Our recruiters spend their time talking to candidates and running interviews. They don't have enough hours to also find every therapist worth talking to, or to answer every therapist who writes to us. That's your job.
We use automated tools to send outreach at volume. Your job is to keep those campaigns full of the right people, then handle everything that happens after someone replies: answering their questions, keeping warm candidates warm, and handing the promising ones to a recruiter with enough context to pick up the conversation right away. You won't be interviewing or screening.
The measure of success is simple: how many strong therapists did you put in front of our recruiters, and how quickly.
What You'll Do:
- Find therapists. Build lists of licensed clinicians (primarily therapists) in the states we're hiring in, using LinkedIn, job boards, professional directories, and licensing databases.
- Run the outreach. Load lists into our outreach tools, launch and monitor campaigns, and keep sequences running. Flag messages that aren't getting replies.
- Answer everyone who responds. This is the heart of the job. Therapists reply to our campaigns and write to us on their own. Answer the same business day, answer their actual question, and sound like a person.
- Nurture. Stay in touch with therapists who are interested but not ready, and go back to people who applied before, didn't reply, or weren't a fit at the time. Most hires come from the second or third conversation, not the first.
- Hand off cleanly. Pass candidates to the right recruiter with their license type, state, availability, and what they told you. No recruiter should have to re-ask a question you already asked.
- Keep the system clean. Log every candidate and every touch in our applicant tracking system, accurately and same day.
- Report what's working. Track volume, response rates, and hand-offs each week, and tell us which sources and messages are producing.
Who You Are:
- 2 or more years in sourcing, recruiting coordination, high-volume outreach, or a similar role.
- Excellent written English. You'll be replying to licensed US clinicians directly, and your writing represents Handspring to them. This is the most important requirement on this list.
- Comfortable with hiring and outreach tools: LinkedIn, applicant tracking systems, automated
- Comfortable working through high volume without losing accuracy. This role is repetitive by design.
- Organized and self-tracking. Nobody will be checking whether you logged something.
- Available during US business hours, with a reliable internet connection and a quiet place to work.
Position Details:
- This is a full-time contractor role, up to 40 hours per week, working [US Eastern] business hours.
- Compensation is $7 USD per hour.
- Fully remote, open to candidates outside the US.
