JOB OVERVIEW

TikTok Shop Video Editor – High-Volume Product Content

I’m looking for a reliable, experienced video editor to handle the editing of my TikTok Shop product videos on an ongoing basis.

I am a full-time TikTok Shop affiliate creator producing a high volume of product-focused content, primarily in the tech, electronics, tools, home, automotive, and gadget categories.

What I Need

I typically shoot 10 short-form product videos per day. This is a high-volume position and will generally involve editing approximately 10 videos per day, or around 300 videos per month. However if this goes well that number could go up to 10 to 30 videos per day.

There may occasionally be days with fewer videos, but applicants should assume that 10 videos per day is the normal workload and make sure they have the availability and editing capacity to handle that consistently.

I will provide the raw footage, and I need an editor who can take each video from raw footage to a finished, ready-to-post TikTok.

The goal is NOT heavily produced or cinematic content. These are direct-response TikTok Shop videos designed to hold attention and sell products while still feeling natural and authentic.

You will be responsible for:

- Editing approximately 10 short-form videos per day
- Cutting out pauses, mistakes, dead space, repeated takes, and unnecessary footage
- Keeping the pacing fast without making the video feel unnaturally over-edited
- Identifying and preserving the strongest hook at the beginning
- Keeping the video moving smoothly from hook ? product demonstration/explanation ? benefits ? call to action
- Adding clean, readable on-screen captions/subtitles
- Adding text overlays when they help emphasize an important feature, benefit, or statement
- Using punch-ins, zooms, cuts, B-roll, or other simple editing techniques when appropriate to maintain viewer attention
- Cleaning up and balancing audio when necessary
- Delivering videos formatted correctly for vertical 9:16 TikTok content
- Exporting finished videos in high quality and ready for me to upload

The Editing Style

My content is primarily me speaking directly to the camera while demonstrating a product.

I do NOT want every video filled with unnecessary effects, transitions, memes, sound effects, or distracting graphics.

The editor should understand that with TikTok Shop, retention and conversions matter more than flashy editing.

The ideal finished video should grab attention immediately, remove anything that slows the video down, feel conversational and authentic, clearly demonstrate the product, emphasize the important selling points, maintain viewer attention, and end cleanly with the call to action.

Most videos will be approximately 30–90 seconds, although length may vary depending on the product.

What I'm Looking For

I’m looking for someone who:

- Has experience editing TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, UGC, or direct-response product videos
- Ideally has experience with TikTok Shop or e-commerce content
- Understands hooks, retention, pacing, and short-form viewer behavior
- Can make editing decisions independently rather than requiring detailed instructions for every video
- Has the capacity to consistently handle approximately 10 videos every day
- Has fast turnaround times
- Communicates reliably
- Can learn my editing style and become increasingly independent over time

I don't want to have to tell you where every cut should go.

I want to be able to upload my raw footage, provide basic information when necessary, and trust you to turn it into a finished video that matches my style.

Long-Term Opportunity

This is not a one-time project. I am looking for someone who can become my regular long-term editor.

Because I create approximately 10 videos every day, this can provide a large and consistent volume of ongoing paid work for the right editor.

As you learn my style, I want the process to become extremely streamlined:

I shoot ? upload raw footage ? you edit ? I review ? video is ready to post.

Ultimately, my goal is to spend my time shooting and creating more content instead of sitting at my computer editing videos.
