JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role

Steela is an Australian company specializing in premium steel doors and windows for the construction industry.

We're looking for an AI Systems Specialist to help us improve how our business operates through AI, automation, integrations, and intelligent use of data.

This is not a prompt-writing or content-generation role.

We're looking for someone who can understand how a business works, identify inefficiencies, recommend solutions, and independently take AI and automation projects from idea ? implementation ? adoption.

You'll work closely with leadership and teams across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Administration.

What You'll Do
AI & Automation
* Assess existing workflows and identify opportunities for automation.
* Develop and manage Steela's AI and automation roadmap.
* Implement AI-powered tools and workflows across the business.
* Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies.

Systems Integration
* Help connect and improve our existing business systems, including:
- Pipedrive CRM
- Microsoft SharePoint / Microsoft 365
- Xero
- Outlook
- Other business applications as required

Your goal will be to create a more connected single source of truth, allowing information to flow between systems and be accessed through AI-powered tools.

Sales Automation
* Build AI-powered workflows to support our sales team, including:
- Call transcription and meeting summaries
- Follow-up email generation
- Proposal drafting
- Task and reminder creation
- CRM updates
- Sales forecasting
- Opportunity and sales-risk analysis

AI Concierge & Knowledge Management
* Develop internal AI assistants that can:
- Answer common employee questions
- Retrieve information from business systems
- Find information from internal knowledge bases
- Draft communications
- Support day-to-day decision-making
- Business Intelligence
- Build AI-powered reporting and dashboards.
- Enable leadership to query business information using natural language.
- Improve forecasting and business visibility.
- Reduce manual reporting and administrative work.

Project Ownership
*Lead AI projects from discovery through implementation.
*Evaluate and recommend tools and platforms.
*Document systems and processes.
*Train teams and drive adoption.

What We're Looking For
Must Have
*2–4 years of experience in AI implementation, automation, business systems, or process improvement.
*Experience integrating multiple business applications.
*Strong understanding of CRM systems.
*Experience working with data, reporting, and business workflows.
*Ability to independently identify problems and implement practical solutions.
*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
*Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
