JOB OVERVIEW

Hours:
Part-time, project-based to start. Likely 5 to 10 hours per week initially, with room to grow.

About us:
Swedberg Sauna Co. is a custom sauna design and construction company based in Atlanta, Georgia. We design premium indoor and outdoor saunas for residential and commercial clients.

We are looking for a reliable 3D designer who can take measurements, photos, sketches, and written specifications from our client consultations and turn them into attractive, accurate renderings that help clients visualize their future sauna.

This is not primarily an architecture or engineering role. These renderings will be used during the sales and design process, so accuracy, speed, and visual presentation are more important than producing construction documents.

What you will do
Build simple, accurate sauna models from dimensions and written instructions
Create attractive exterior and interior renderings
Create simple top-down or 2D layouts when requested
Accurately represent:
room dimensions
doors
windows
glass walls
benches
heaters
lighting
roof shape
interior and exterior wood finishes
Make revisions based on feedback
Eventually maintain a library of reusable Swedberg Sauna Co. components to make future projects faster
Typical project

You may receive something like:

Outdoor sauna. 90 inches wide x 84 inches deep x 96 inches tall. Full glass front with door on right. Upper bench along rear and left wall. Lower bench below. Heater front left. Horizontal cypress exterior. Cypress interior. Black trim and black shed roof. Photos of the client's yard attached.

You would turn that into a clean visualization that we can send to the customer with their proposal.

Software

Experience with SketchUp is strongly preferred.

Rendering software could include:

Enscape
D5 Render
Twinmotion
Lumion
V-Ray
similar software

Experience with AI rendering tools is a plus, but we do not want someone relying solely on generative AI. Dimensions and layout must remain accurate.

notices when something doesn't make sense
communicates clearly in English
can usually turn around a project within 24 hours
is comfortable receiving revisions
works independently
has strong attention to detail

Experience with saunas is not required. We can teach you our sauna design standards.

Very important

Accuracy matters more than artistic creativity.

For example, if our instructions say:

window is 6 feet wide
door is on the right
heater is on the left
bench is 24 inches deep

those elements cannot move or change simply because another arrangement looks better.
