JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a highly creative, funny, fast-moving, social-media-obsessed person to help us build a rapidly growing online food community called FoodeesNation.

FoodeesNation is being built by Foodees Fest, a large traveling food festival company in the United States. Our goal is not to create another boring company Facebook group. We want to build a massive, active community of people who love food, food trucks, restaurants, crazy food creations, hidden gems, humor, and discovering what everyone else is eating.

We want FoodeesNation to become one of the most entertaining food communities on Facebook — and we need someone who wants to help build it.

This Is a Fast-Paced Content Role

We move quickly.

This position is for someone who can take an idea and turn it into finished content without spending hours overthinking every post.

We expect a high volume of quality content, fast turnaround times, and someone who is comfortable working independently.

You should be able to create a meme, graphic, poll, Reel, or Facebook post quickly and move on to the next piece of content.

We are not looking for perfectionism that slows production down.

We are looking for speed, creativity, good judgment, personality, and consistency.

What You Will Do

You will help operate FoodeesNation every day.

Your responsibilities will include:

Creating funny food memes
Creating highly engaging Facebook posts
Creating polls, debates, food battles, and conversation starters
Finding interesting food topics and trends
Creating graphics in Canva, Photoshop, or similar software
Editing short-form videos and Reels
Creating “Would You Eat This?” and “Rate This Plate” content
Developing recurring content series
Spotlighting food trucks, restaurants, vendors, and interesting foods
Encouraging members to comment and participate
Replying to comments and interacting with community members
Approving new members
Moderating spam and inappropriate content
Identifying great member-generated content
Helping us develop new ideas to grow the group
Watching what performs well and creating more of what works

You will NOT spend your entire day making corporate advertisements.

We are looking for someone who understands internet culture.

You should understand why memes work, why some Facebook posts get ---------- comments while others get 1,200, and how to make someone stop scrolling long enough to participate.

Minimal AI Use

We are specifically looking for someone with real creative ability.

AI can be used occasionally as a tool for brainstorming, research, proofreading, or helping develop an idea.

However, we do NOT want someone who relies on ChatGPT or other AI tools to create most of their content.

If every caption, meme idea, poll, and response sounds AI-generated, this position will not be a good fit.

We want a real person with:

Their own sense of humor
Their own ideas
Their own understanding of social media
Their own creative instincts
Their own ability to recognize what people will find funny or interesting

AI should assist your creativity — it should not replace it.

The Person We Are Looking For

You are probably a great fit if you:

Work very fast without sacrificing quality
Have an excellent sense of humor
Understand memes and current social-media culture
Have strong spoken and written English
Understand American humor and sarcasm
Are comfortable writing conversational English
Have graphic-design skills
Can use Canva, Photoshop, or similar programs
Can edit short-form video using CapCut, Premiere, or similar software
Spend enough time on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or Reddit to understand what people are talking about
Can work independently without needing someone to give you every single post idea
Can produce a high volume of content consistently
Enjoy experimenting with content
Understand that social media should feel SOCIAL
Are comfortable interacting with a large online community
Do not need AI to tell you what to post

We care much more about your creativity, humor, speed, judgment, and ability to create engaging content than we care about degrees or impressive job titles.

REQUIRED VIDEO INTRODUCTION

Every applicant must submit a short video introduction. Applications without a video introduction will not be considered.

Your video should be approximately 30 second long and should be addressed directly to Ron, one of the owners of Foodees.

Do not send a heavily edited promotional video. We simply want to meet you and hear you speak naturally.

In your video, tell Ron:

A little about yourself
Why this position interests you
Why you think you would be good at creating content for FoodeesNation
What makes you creative or funny
Why you believe you can help us grow a large Facebook community

Please speak naturally. Do not read an AI-generated script.

We are not looking for perfect English or a professional studio presentation. We want to see your personality, communication skills, energy, creativity, and how comfortable you are speaking directly to someone.

Paid Trial

Final candidates may be offered a small paid creative trial before we select the person for the position.

The trial may include creating:

3 food memes
2 Facebook polls
1 short-form video
3 engaging Facebook posts
Responses to sample community comments

The trial will also help us evaluate your speed.

We want someone who can move quickly, make good creative decisions, and produce content without needing excessive revisions or instructions.

We are looking for originality. AI may be used minimally as a support tool, but the work should clearly come from you.
