About Alarmed Media LLC
Alarmed Media LLC is building a digital media platform designed to create compelling, emotionally powerful, highly engaging content across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram,
We are looking for a talented Social Media Content Producer & Growth Specialist to become one of the foundational members of our content team.
This is a unique, hands-on role. You will help take content from:
Idea ? Strategy ? Recording ? Hook ? Edit ? Publish ? Analyze ? Improve
Because Alarmed Media is in an early stage of building its content operation, this position will initially have responsibility across several areas. However, we do not expect one person to be an expert in every social media discipline. Your strongest skill should be creating exceptional video content.
You should also be capable of helping develop content ideas, managing the publishing process, understanding basic social media performance, monitoring audience feedback, and using what you learn to help determine what we should create next. As Alarmed Media grows, additional team members will be added and these responsibilities will become more specialized. An exceptional person in this position could eventually grow into a Lead Content Producer, Creative Lead, Social Media Growth Manager, or other leadership position within Alarmed Media.
Purpose of the Position
Your primary responsibility is to turn ideas, interviews, conversations, recordings, and raw footage into content that people actually want to watch. We are not looking for someone who simply knows how to operate editing software.
We want someone who understands what makes someone stop scrolling, what creates curiosity and emotion, what makes someone continue watching, what makes someone share or comment, what makes someone remember what they watched, and what makes someone want to see the next video.
If we give you a 30-minute interview, we want you to be able to identify moments we may not even realize are important.
You should increasingly be able to say:
"This is the clip."
"This is the hook."
"This sentence should actually start the video."
"There are five different videos hiding inside this interview."
"The audience keeps asking this question—we need to create something about it."
That type of creative judgment is extremely important to this position.
Initial Areas of Responsibility
Your approximate initial responsibilities will be:
45–50% — Video Editing & Content Creation
20% — Content Strategy & Ideation
15% — Publishing & Platform Management
10% — Analytics & Optimization
5–10% — Community & Audience Intelligence
These percentages will change as the company grows and additional team members are hired.
Core Responsibilities
1. Video Editing, Storytelling & Content Creation.
This is the most important responsibility of the position.
You will:
Edit raw footage into engaging, polished, platform-ready content.
Create short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts,
Edit longer-form YouTube or digital content when needed.
Review raw footage and independently identify strong moments.
Determine what should stay and what should be removed.
Improve pacing and storytelling.
Restructure footage when doing so improves the video.
Create compelling openings and hooks.
Add captions, subtitles, text overlays, B-roll, graphics, music, and sound effects when appropriate.
Use transitions intentionally rather than unnecessarily.
Create thumbnails and supporting visual assets when needed.
Maintain consistent brand standards.
Complete revisions quickly and accurately.
Maintain organized editing files and finished-content libraries.
The goal is not simply to make content look professional. The goal is to make it worth watching.
Hook Development & Storytelling
You will identify the strongest possible opening for a video, develop multiple hook ideas for important content, recognize when the strongest statement occurs later in raw footage and should be moved forward, and experiment with verbal, visual, and text-based hooks, curiosity, emotion, conflict, and unexpected ideas when appropriate.
You should understand how pacing affects audience retention and help create storytelling structures that encourage viewers to continue watching.
2. Content Repurposing
One recording should rarely create only one piece of content.
For example, one longer interview might become a long-form YouTube video, multiple YouTube Shorts, TikTok videos, Instagram Reels,
Responsibilities include:
Identify multiple standalone clips within longer recordings.
Create different lengths when appropriate.
Adapt footage for different platforms.
Revisit older footage for unused opportunities.
Identify content that could be reframed or updated.
Maintain organized libraries of raw and completed content.
Prevent valuable content from being forgotten.
We want someone who thinks:"How much great content can we create from what we already have?"
3. Content Strategy & Ideation
You will help develop Alarmed Media's content direction.
Initially, you will work collaboratively with leadership to help turn the company's expertise, ideas, stories, and message into content. As you learn the brand and audience, we expect you to become increasingly proactive.
Responsibilities include:
Help create weekly content plans.
Help maintain the content calendar.
Bring new content ideas forward.
Identify topics with strong audience potential.
Identify questions that could become videos.
Recommend recurring content series.
Identify opportunities within current conversations or trends.
Research successful content formats.
Study creators and content inside and outside our industry.
Understand why high-performing content works rather than simply copying it.
Maintain an organized content idea bank.
Recommend topics that should be recorded next.
Identify opportunities to expand successful topics into additional content.
We don't want someone who simply asks: "What do you want me to edit today?"
We want someone who increasingly asks: "Here's what I think we should create next—and here's why."
4. Social Media Publishing & Platform Management
You will initially help manage publishing across Alarmed Media's social media platforms.
Platforms may include: YouTube, TikTok, Instagram,
Responsibilities include:
Schedule and publish approved content.
Maintain the social media content calendar.
Adapt videos appropriately for different platforms.
Write or refine titles, captions, and descriptions.
Select appropriate hashtags and keywords.
Upload correct thumbnails.
Add appropriate links.
Confirm platform settings.
Verify content before publishing.
Maintain accurate publishing records.
Follow established approval procedures.
We expect high attention to detail. Wrong videos, incorrect captions, missing thumbnails, broken links, or unauthorized posts are preventable mistakes.
5. Audience & Community Intelligence
You do not need to function as a full-time community manager. However, we do expect you to pay attention to the audience.
You will:
Monitor important comments and questions.
Identify recurring themes and audience objections.
Identify topics viewers want to understand better.
Identify strong comments that could become future content.
Identify opportunities for response videos.
Surface significant audience reactions.
Escalate concerning or sensitive comments when appropriate.
Comments are not simply comments. They are information about what the audience cares about. We want you to use that information.
6. Analytics, Testing & Optimization
You will track basic content performance and help us learn from it.
Available metrics may include: views, reach, impressions, watch time, average view duration, audience retention, completion rate, shares, saves, likes, comments, click-through rate, subscribers gained, followers gained, and traffic sources. We are not looking for a sophisticated data scientist. What we need is someone who can recognize patterns.
Instead of simply reporting:
"This video received 50,000 views."
We want you to begin thinking:
"This video performed significantly better than our normal content. The opening was much stronger, viewers stayed longer, and people repeatedly commented about the same topic. We should create three more videos around that idea."
You will also help experiment with hooks, video lengths, titles, captions, thumbnails, opening visuals, editing styles, pacing, story structures, topics, recurring series, comment-response content, and posting approaches. We don't expect every experiment to work. We expect you to learn from what happens.
Weekly Expectations
Each week, the person in this role should be able to answer three questions:
1. What worked?
Identify the strongest-performing content and what you believe contributed to its performance.
2. What did we learn?
Identify meaningful audience behavior, content patterns, comments, questions, or opportunities.
3. What should we do next?
Recommend at least three specific content opportunities, improvements, or experiments for the upcoming week.
The objective is not to create busywork.
The objective is continuous improvement.
