We are looking for an experienced Amazon PPC Advertising Specialist who understands how to take established brands with proven success on Shopify/DTC and successfully launch and scale them on Amazon.
This role requires more than simply managing existing campaigns. Many of the brands you will work with are established businesses but are new or relatively new to Amazon. These accounts require close attention, frequent optimization, and careful campaign development during the early stages.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Build Amazon PPC campaign structures for new and growing Amazon accounts
Develop launch strategies for brands with established Shopify/DTC sales
Perform keyword and competitor research before and during launches
Build and manage Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display campaigns
Manage Exact, Phrase, Broad, Broad+, product targeting, and category targeting appropriately
Closely monitor new campaigns and make frequent bid and budget adjustments
Analyze search term reports and continually develop keyword targeting
Move converting search terms into more controlled campaign structures
Manage branded, non-branded, competitor, and product-targeting strategies
Scale advertising while monitoring ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, conversion rate, CPC, and overall sales
Identify when campaigns need more budget versus when spend needs to be controlled
Work closely with inventory levels so advertising does not create unnecessary stock issues
Identify listing or conversion problems that are preventing PPC from scaling
Provide clear reporting on performance, opportunities, problems, and next steps
What We're Looking For
You should have hands-on experience managing Amazon PPC accounts and understand that launching an established Shopify brand on Amazon requires a different approach than simply taking over a mature Amazon account.
We're looking for someone who understands how to:
Build an account correctly from the beginning
Generate initial traffic and sales without wasting spend
Develop search-term data and identify winning keywords
Protect branded traffic
Target competitor brands correctly
Scale winning campaigns
Control wasted spend
Balance ACOS and TACOS with overall growth
Recognize when PPC is not the problem and the listing, pricing, reviews, inventory, or offer needs attention
Attention to detail is extremely important. New accounts need close grooming and care. We do not want someone who launches campaigns and checks them once a week. You should be comfortable actively monitoring performance, identifying issues quickly, and making adjustments as the account develops.
Amazon PPC Knowledge Required
You should have a strong understanding of:
Sponsored Products
Sponsored Brands
Sponsored Display
Keyword targeting
Product/ASIN targeting
Broad, Broad+, Phrase, and Exact match types
Branded vs. non-branded campaign strategy
Competitor conquesting
Search term harvesting
Negative keywords/targets
Bid optimization
Placement adjustments
Budget management
ACOS and TACOS
Campaign scaling
New-product launches
Ideal Candidate
The ideal person is analytical but also proactive. We don't want someone who simply follows an automated optimization routine.
You should be able to look at an account and explain:
What's working? What's not working? Why? What should we change? Where should we spend more? Where should we pull back? And what needs to happen next to scale the brand?
Experience helping established Shopify/DTC brands expand onto Amazon is highly preferred.
When Applying
Please include:
How many years you have managed Amazon PPC.
Examples of Amazon accounts or brands you have helped launch or scale.
Typical monthly advertising spend you have managed.
Your approach to launching PPC for an established Shopify brand that is new to Amazon.
How you use Broad, Broad+, Phrase, and Exact differently.
How you approach branded and competitor-brand targeting.
How often you review and optimize a newly launched Amazon account.
An example of an account where you successfully scaled sales while managing TACOS/ACOS.
Optional Video Introduction
You are also welcome to include a short video introduction with your application. This is optional, but encouraged.
In the video, briefly introduce yourself and tell us about your Amazon PPC experience, the types of accounts you have managed, and your experience launching or scaling brands on Amazon.
This does not need to be professionally produced. A simple, short introduction is perfectly fine and gives us an opportunity to learn more about you and your experience beyond the written application.
Please provide specific answers. Generic or AI-generated PPC responses without examples of actual Amazon advertising experience will not be considered.
Position will begin as part time but can easily become a full time position once proven.
