JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a **creative short-form video editor** to help edit primarily TikTok content for a beauty, lifestyle, hair, and fashion-focused creator.

**Pay: $3 per finished video**

We’re looking for someone who understands TikTok-style editing and can make videos feel **smooth, feminine, bubbly, cute, and engaging** without over-editing them.

## Editing Style We’re Looking For

The overall editing style should feel:

* Smooth and polished
* Girly, bubbly, and cutesy
* Clean and aesthetically pleasing
* Fast-paced when needed, but not overly flashy
* Natural and engaging
* Native to TikTok/short-form content

We **do not** want the screen covered in text or effects the entire time. The editing should enhance the content rather than distract from it.

## Text & Captions

We’d like text to be used strategically throughout the videos.

For informational videos:

* Add text when it helps viewers understand or follow what's being said.
* Highlight important points, products, tips, or phrases.
* Avoid putting large amounts of text on the screen constantly.

For more casual/lifestyle videos:

* Use text more sparingly.
* Let the visuals and personality of the creator carry the video.

## Beauty, Hair & Lifestyle Content

A lot of the content will involve:

* Makeup
* Hair
* Fashion
* Beauty
* Lifestyle
* Promos
* Product recommendations
* General talking/entertainment content

For makeup/tutorial-style videos, we want the editing to flow naturally between clips. For example, the creator may continue speaking while the video transitions to another clip, product shot, angle, or step in the process.

The goal is to make the video feel **smooth and seamless rather than like a bunch of individual clips stitched together.**

## Promotional Content

We also create promotional content, particularly around hair and beauty.

We want someone who can creatively incorporate promotional moments into regular content so they **don't feel like obvious advertisements.**

For example, instead of stopping the video completely to say, "Here's the product I'm promoting," find natural ways to incorporate the product into the story, tutorial, routine, or conversation.

## What We're Looking For

We're looking for an editor who:

* Has experience editing TikToks/Reels/Shorts
* Understands current short-form editing trends
* Has a strong sense of timing and pacing
* Can create smooth transitions
* Knows when to use text and when to let the footage speak for itself
* Has good attention to detail
* Can make beauty/lifestyle content feel polished and engaging
* Is comfortable working with talking-head and lifestyle footage
* Can creatively incorporate promotional content
* Can take creative direction and apply feedback

**Creativity is a big plus.** We're not looking for someone who simply cuts clips together. We want someone who can look at the footage and understand how to make the final video more entertaining and engaging.
