Job Opening: Full Time or Part-Time Accountant (Residential Construction)
Location: Remote (Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST)
IMPORTANT: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets is required (this is critical and non-negotiable; proficiency in pivot tables, complex formulas, lookups, conditional formatting, etc. is essential)
IMPORTANT: Applicants must have full-cycle accounting experience and be capable of managing all aspects of the accounting process independently, with minimal supervision.

About the Role:
As part of our team, you will be responsible for managing daily financial activities, maintaining accurate records, and producing reliable reports that support critical decision-making. You will play a key role in maintaining our books and financial systems, ensuring smooth operations across multiple residential building projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Full-cycle bookkeeping and general accounting duties
Job costing and tracking expenses across multiple projects
Preparing and filing sales tax returns
Cash flow reporting and management
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Payroll coordination and reporting (if applicable)
Producing monthly and ad-hoc financial reports
Working with our project managers to align financial records with job progress
Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
Collaborating with leadership to improve financial workflows
Required Qualifications:
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (this is critical and non-negotiable; proficiency in pivot tables, complex formulas, lookups, conditional formatting, etc. is essential)
Experience with QuickBooks Online
3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (construction industry preferred)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities
Must be available to work during normal business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST)
