JOB OVERVIEW

WHAT THIS ROLE IS

I run a content brand built around the niche of Sneakers in short-form video — reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts. I need a dedicated editor who can take raw footage and turn it into fast, polished videos that feel native to the platform. Pacing, hooks, sound design, and audience retention matter more here than fancy effects. If you've only edited long-form or corporate content, this probably isn't the right fit.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Edit raw footage into short-form videos (15–90 sec) optimized for reels and TikTok
- Curate AI video generation clips. You will filter out which AI clips are good, and bad.
- Handle cuts, captions, editing with the videos
- Adapt quickly to new topics and content styles as the brand evolves
- Bonus: write or refine scripts — hooks, transitions, CTAs
- Bonus: experience with AI video generation tools (Runway, Kling, Pika, CapCut AI, etc.)
- HIGH BONUS: Understand the nature of Sneakers, SNKRS, Nike, Sneaker Reselling, Hyped Sneaker Colorways, Etc

REQUIREMENTS

- 2+ years editing short-form content professionally (not just personal projects)
- Proficient in CapCut, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve — provable in your portfolio
- Strong sense of pacing and what keeps viewers watching past the first 3 seconds
- Reliable internet, consistent power, and a schedule that overlaps with US Central Time
- Clear written English — you need to communicate async without needing to be chased
- Portfolio of 5+ short-form videos you personally edited (required — no portfolio = no review)
-BONUS: Good understanding of the Sneaker Industry (Nike, Adidas, Jordans, SNKRS, etc)
